Strangely, Sabbir Rahman, who has represented Bangladesh A-team and T20I team in last few months, has not got a team! I guess he pissed off some BCB high up badly...

Parvez Hossain Emon and Aminul Islam Biplob are other notable omissions, despite both being part of HP squad last summer. They also left out emerging attacking openers like Abdullah Al Mamun, Mahfijul Islam Robin, and Tawfique Khan Tushar. However, selectors accommodated veterans like Abdul Mazid and Fazle Mahmud, whose prospects for the ODI team seem pretty dead atm.

Notable performances in the first round:

Yasir Ali Rabbi 80 (73 balls) - finished the innings, almost certain to make ODI XI as #6/7
Ebadat 4 for 46 - Also almost sure to be in the first XI behind Taskin/Fizz
Miraz - 5 fer - Possibly surplus to demand at this stage
