World Cup Jerseys from BD?
I just got a query from some visitor on Virtual Bangladesh:
Quote:
I have a heard a statistics from your ambassador to the US that all jerseys that were used in this year’s world cup were all made in Bangladesh. Is this true and where can I verify this statement?
|
Now I have the same question.
Is this true and where can I verify this statement?

I Googled it but no positive result... If it's coming from a diplomat, there's an even chance it's true or false. It's a waste of time to verify everything they say.
Btw, by "in this year's world cup" he means the football WC? if yes, this topic belongs in the FIFA forum.

now it make sense, I went to Bongo Bazar recently and even after the world cup the whole market is full of world cup merchandises. They didnt have the jerseys but they had all the official T-shirt replicas (probably the rejected ones). I noticed the fans in Germany wearing the same T-shirts. I got 4 of them of 500 Taka..... proud of my country .... hehe....

I don't think you will be able to see that in your lifetime unless Fifa decides to have a world cup with 140 teams....

This is 100% true. I read it on Kriralok. Bangladesh garments association had the cheapest bid and won.
