আমার দাদা বাড়িতে ছিল সবসময়ই প্রচুরলোকের আনাগোনা - কারো চোখ এড়িয়ে কোন কিছু করারই পথ ছিল না।
তাই গভীর রাতের গোপন অভিসারই ছিল বাড়ির এক গৃহপরিচারিকা আর পার্শ্ববর্তী এক দোকান কর্মচারীর পরিণয় সার্থক করার একমাত্র পথ। তাও আর বেশীদিন নির্বিঘ্নে হলো না—প্রেমিক জুটির “অবৈধ” অভিসার হাতেনাতে ধরে ফেলে রাতের অন্ধকারেই মহা হট্টোগোল বাঁধিয়ে দিল বাড়ির এক বেরসিক লোক। সেই দোকান কর্মচারীকে ধরে এনে বাড়ির উঠোনের মাঝখানে দাঁড় করানো হলে সে বড়ই নিরপরাধ কন্ঠে আধা-শুদ্ধ নোয়াখাইল্লা বচনে বললো, “ভাইজান, আমাকে এখানে ধরি আইনছেন কেন? আমি তো কিছুই বুইজতে ফাইত্তেছিনা”।

যাই হোক- আমার স্মৃতিচারন এখানেই শেষ।
তবে কেবল একটাই প্রশ্ন—“টাইগার ভাই- সাদি ভাই, আপনারা এসব কোন ফাইনাল-পেনাল্টি-মাথাঢুষার কথা বইলতেছেন? আমি তো কিছুই বুইজতে ফাইত্তেছিনা।"

Yeah I guess s*** happens. Apnar kothay puraton diner bangla chobir kotha mone pore gelo. Akta dhakka kheye sriti chole jay, arekta bari kheye oi sriti fire ase. I guess we have to wait till 2010 when France fails to even make it to the world cup to find out what happened that day!!!
