England hopeful Ian Bell made 231 for Warwickshire as he continued his assault on Robert Keys place in Englands number 3 position, Key made 164 the other day.
Elsewhere, Flintoff returned to form with 83 off 98 balls, a knock that included 10 fours and 4 sixes, before he got out trying to slog the part timer.
Strauss made 37 before top edging, and Trescothick had another average innings, making just 18.
Ashley Giles had a good day, making 62 with the bat, sharing a partnership of around 170 with Bell, and then took two wickets, one bowled the other lbw.
And finally, although irrelevant to England, Kiwi Andre Adams took a hatrick, including Sanath Jayasuriya 1st ball.
Thats all for today

Hi Rob,
I'm new to this forum...just joined today after following for a long time. I think Eng V Ban has something to do with it.
It looks like Freddy is goin to play against US! I suppose I've failed the Norman Tebbit(!) test! Rest assure, I'll be right behind England come Ashes. But for time being, must support the Young Promising Tigers.
BTW do you play for any club? I played a few matches for a village team in Oxford a couple of years ago. Nothing since..

I was booted of my club, they made some pathetic excuse, but the fact is that they think I am crap, which I accept.

all the players BD need to worry is about their own players, never mind englands, although i expect tres, vaughan, thorpe, strauss to hit form, except for a couple of average players in the england teams, (jones and giles) they are a good teams, who will be runnin to get some battin practice against the bd boys.
hopefully we prove em wrong, and give em a run for their money

Latest updates on players who didn't make Bangladesh national team.
Musharraf Hussain Rubel is on holiday to Cox's Bazar visualising his 36.4-7-105-9 against mighty Barishal.
Manjarul Islam Rana sitting sad in his living room since he can't see the video of his 151 in NCL due to load shading of power supply.
Waskurney Palash is having a relationship problem from the day Rubel broke his national record 8-69.
These are classified information at this stage, hence you should not be asking for source.

Worrying about the opponents is something I think is a problem for Bangladesh. In recent years I have seen them in awe at Lara, Tendulkar and Flintoff, and they have wilted by getting nervous about how to bowl to them, hence the batsmen in question scoring lots of runs.
Tresco always saves his best for the international stuff, he excuse for recent lazy performances for his county has been 'migraines'. Strauss' form is a tad worrying as he usually plays well for Middlesex and has been getting out to part timers a lot. The reason Thorpe has got not many runs is because he only bats well when the team he is playing for is in trouble. For eg. if England are 9-3, it is pretty much nailed on he will make a fighting century, but if the team he is playing for us 300-3, he is pretty much nailed on for a failure. Pretty much all of his 16 test hundreds have come when England have been in trouble when he has set his guard.

i agree that this used to be a problem for bangladeshi cricketers. but, now that about 80% of our team's players are young blood, i can safely say we wont have this problem anymore. players like masri, tapash, rajib dont care who they're bowling to. they are young, aggressive, hungry for wickets. same goes for our batsmen. ash (he probably should be scared a little more for his own good), aftab, nafis, rajin...and our captain bashar (who isn't young but is just as aggressive) respect the bowling, but dont fear them.

Although his chances to get back into England side is gone this is a special mention to Graeme Hick who scored a 176, his 127th first class century passing him by WG Grace.... Too bad he didnt succed in international cricket.
