Default England Player Update

Its not been a vert good day for the England players.

Flintoff made 5 before being bowled by off spinner Graeme Swann, a drag on. Andrew Strauss continued his poor start to the season, he was out for 18 bat pad to off spinner Gareth Batty. Kevin Pietersen was also bat pad, but to a medium pace seamer, for just 9. Ian Bell was run out for 20, Ashley Giles made just 5 runs, but bowled yet again very economically. Robert Key & Geraint Jones also both failed, they fell for 14 and 4 respectively. Matthew Hoggard took one wicket, and that is just about it.

Not very good.

Hey Rob,

Dunno if you are just reading the scorecard or also watching some games/hightlights, but if it is the latter, than care to comment on these peformances? Are these the results of bowler-friendly conditions or generally poor form on part of the parties involved.

Be our English correspondent if you will

For some games I only look at the scorecard, over here in England they only show one match at a time on TV, today it was Hampshire v Northants and I saw Pietersen play, He was playing pretty comfortably but he got an unlucky bat pad, non the umpires decision, just the fact the ball spooned right up into short legs hand, nothing he could really of done to avoid it. Warne was also playing and got clattered, he went for 53 off 9 overs , I loved it being an Englishman.

There is also commentary you can get for some games on the BBC Website when matches are on, the commentary is only available for people in the UK though.

They only have one camera at non televised games, the Sussex County do highlights on their website.

Thet next game televised is tomorrow, Nottinghamshire v Glamorgan, I will be able to report on Simon Jones and Alex Wharf.

Tubby getting clobbered? You don't have to be an Englishman to enjoy that Perhaps Mr. diet pills forgot his can 'o' baked beens tho if that is indeed a major portion of Warney's diet, I'd never want to be in the stall next to him in the loo. Keep it up mate - the commentary i.e.
