Game 9: Report from coach McInnes
Thanks a lot Coach for the report - chinaman
Bangladesh have cruised to another comfortable victory over what was supposed to be a strong Tropical North Qld Senior Team. The Townsville region is one of the strongest country cricket regions in Queensland or Australia and it was expected that todays game along with tomorrow’s games would be very tough encounters. However the local batsmen again struggled to handle the superb spin bowling of Reazul Islam Rajon and Schowartie Shuvo, however prior to that Dollar Mahmud had bowled with good pace and bounce to put Bangladesh on the front foot, after losing the toss and fielding first.
Rajon finished with 8 overs 3 for 21, Dollar 10 overs 2 for 27 (with 12 taken off his 5th over). Milon also bowled conceding just 10 runs from 8 overs for the second successive game, capturing one wicket along the way. Aslam Khan and Schowartie Shuvo finished with 1 for 14 from 8 and 1 for 18 from 7 respectively to round out the figures. Tropical North Qld were bowled out for just 107 in 46 overs.
Bangladesh in reply cruised blasted their way to the target in just 20 overs with Mehdi Hassan leading the way with 53 not out. He was supported by Farhad Hossain with 22 not out after Nazmus Saddar went for 18, in a 53 run opening stand.
The final game of the tour is tomorrow before the players head home on Monday morning arriving in Dhaka on Monday night.

welldone gentlemen ironically one can't help feeling even more sad now that McInnes is leaving us! Iwsh we could have kept you till the next U19 World Cup coach...and here is to hoping that you will consider coaching the senior Bangladesh team in a couple to three years time

Yep, It is really sad to see Richard McIness leaving before the next world cup. Bangladesh would have done really well under him as he now knows the players better than anyone. It's gonna be hard for a new guy to come in and plan for the U19 world cup in mind.

BDKhela published a photo of Mushfiqur Rahim where Bogra people are celebrating his inclusion to the national team. Is he already in Bangladesh?

Thanks to coach McInnes. I hope he will come back in the future. In the mean time I wish our local administrator find the wisdom to keep things going in the positive direction for these yound players.
Well played boys.

Agree..this winning business is getting redundant!
I am eagerly anticipating the 'A' teams tour to England as well sometime in July. Though Faruk said that most players chosen for that squad will be picked from players who has performed well in NCL ( domestic ), it will be a good time to thrust a few players from this U-19 squad into that team. Shamshu Rahman should be a part of that team.

Thank's to Coach on behalf of the BanglaCricket Members and myself. You have done a great job. You have established a very strong U19 team which we never had before. This way this team is full of confidence and talents and this way we wont have trouble finding players for our national team for another couple of years.
Good job U19 team. keep up the firing action.

Now that Coach McIness is leaving, maybe now he can explain why Shariar Nafees was left out of the U-19 WC squad last year. Was it a disciplinary sanction? One needs to ask that if he is considered a captaincy material.
