I was questioning De Bruyne's selection as attacking mid. But i was completely wrong. He stood up when the team needed to. And super sub Lukaku got the job done as well. It's sad not see Hazard playing how most people always see him play in the EPL.

Ohh! Deuce Dempsey!! You had the chance to be Captain America! I expect a lot better shot from our best player on such well executed play!! I have no doubt in PK Howard would've blocked all the shots! This game deserved a PK and we almost had it!
USMNT brought the nation together again, to cheer for one team, one dream after a long time. May be outsiders won't see that as big win, I think it's a big accomplishment, something I wish cricket would do be able to do. It's true, soccer hype will burn out until the next time. But I'm sure it gained a lot of new fans.

ESPN just showed we weren't any better since 2010, same record 1-2-1, except in much, MUCH tougher group. We weren't even suppose to be in 16. Except Howard we didn't have anything left in the tank. We burned 50% of our energy in the first game against the rivals and lost a big player. Portugal was a soul crusher and we barely hung on vs the Germans. Yet managed to survive and fight 120 min. Lot on technicality and talent, not on heart.
