Results of few friendly games before the the 2006 WC
The 32 teams participating in the WC has started their preparation for the 2006 WC. There have been some eye-opening matches that express their form. Expectation is high on some. Since these are friendly matches, for what its worth, some team may only work on strategy rather than showing their entire bag of tricks. But here are some interesting results from the past month. (What I mean is right before the ICC trophy we played a friendly match against Holland and lost, but in the knockout stage we beat the crap out of them when it mattered the most - 1997)
This should be good barometer on everyone's favorite teams are preparing.
April 12 - USA 1:1 Jamaica
May 9 - Japan 1:2 Bulgaria
May 11 - Belgium 2:1 Saudi Arabia
May 13 – Japan 0:0 Scotland
May 14 – Saudi Arabia 1:0 Togo
May 23 – Korea Rep 1:1 Senegal
Austria 1:4 Croatia
May 24 – USA 0:1 Morocco
May 25 – Australia 1:0 Greece
May 26 Korea Rep 2:0 Bosnia-Herzegovina
Saudi Arabia 0:2 Czech Republic
May 27 – Germany 7:0 Luxemburg
Portugal 4:1
Cape Verde Islands Cape Varde Islands
France 1:0 Mexico
Spain 0:0 Russia
Netherlands 0:0 Cameroon
May 28 – Croatia 2:2 Iran
May 29 – Jamaica 1:4 Ghana
May 30 – Czech Rep 1:0 Costa Rica
Germany 2:2 Japan
Argentina 2:0 Angola
England 3:1 Hungary
May 31 - Iran 5:2 Bosnia-Herzegovina
Switzerland 1:1 Italy
France 2:0 Denmark
Saudi Arabia
Interesting is there has yet to be a Brazilian friendly game within the last month or so. I have made bold on the countries that interest me or I want to keep an eye on.
