Pretty sure we will whitewash England at home. And then the usual nattering of "England sent their C team. Third string team. Doctored pitch.. and what not." And should it backfire on us: "This is the real Bangladesh. Same team after 20 years. Etc."
There are spaces for two backup batters on the bench. It will be interesting to see whether Mosaddek and Nurul survives, or if selectors bring in someone new for Hathuru to look at. Given Hathuru's preference for a leggie, Biplob may get another chance. Shak maybe asked to pick between Nasir and Mosaddek (my feeling is that he will continue with Mosaddek).
Soumya and Shoriful will be dropped for sure. Given his lack of skills for T20, selectors may want to replace Ebadot with Raza, but Donald and Hathuru may disagree.
My guess so far - there is no chance for Rony Talukdar. Zakir can be promoted as an opener if needed, otherwise he will play somewhere in middle or late order.

My guess - it's a power play, the loser wants to undermine both captains. Both Mushfiq and Riyad are on line to be axed from the ODI team (one of them is very likely to be benched to make place for Hridoy in the third ODI). He wants both Tamim and Shakib to be on weak grounds, so neither stands up for his old buddies.
After a long time, we're going with two pacers in an ODI. Taijul is expected to make contributions with bat as well. With Taskin at #10, hopefully it will be a fairly long tail.
After the loss to England in 2016, we won all 7 home ODI series in last 7 years. Hope England won't break our winning spell again.
Good to see selectors awarded BPL performers (except for Nasir).
Nurul should consider himself lucky that he survived. I guess because he's the VC.
Yeah good to see Rony and Hridoy make the cut in T20. I would've also wanted to see Mritunjoy instead of Fizz. He was bowling quite quick in BPL consistently hitting 145k.
Tanvir seems good, but I dont think he will be much marketable.
Mushfiq is a lost cause. But we're clearly under appreciating Riyad (and Shakib, by pushing him down at 5). With age, he's no longer fit for a hard hitter or 'finisher' role, as his SR indicates. But, at his current form, he still is a far better option than Shanto or Afif as an inning builder.
On the other hand, Liton, Shanto, and Afif are being over praised based on stats against weaker opponents.
IMO, Hathuru is on the wrong track pushing Shakib and Riyad down the batting order. My batting order would be -
Tamim
Liton
Shakib
Riyad
Shanto/Yasir (given Shanto's SR, I would prefer Yasir, keeping Shanto on the bench as a backup opener)
Afif
Hridoy
Miraz
Taskin
+ 2 other pacers
Afif at #6 actually is a problematic choice given his weakness against spin. Though talented, he so far seems to lack confidence against top teams as well. Miraz, on the other hand, has been showing the growth to claim that spot. IMO, Miraz is prolly being kept at #8 more so because we lack a capable allrounder to replace him there.
Will Jacks, the BPL 2022 top scorer, is out of rest of the tour (third ODI and the T20I series) with a thigh injury. England have not called for a replacement.
Rumor is that Hathuru will give one more opportunity to both Mushfiq and Mustafiz. Afif and Taijul will be dropped to make spaces for Hridoy and a third pacer on the third ODI.
With both Mustafiz and Shoriful losing pace and becoming ineffective, Mrittunjoy may come into the picture for Ireland series. Donald has started working with him in the nets.
This is the kind of things make England world beaters - english pacers are figuring out how to bowl in our condition by watching Taskin.
Quote:
‘Taskin is mighty impressive. He’s impressed everybody, not just me. The whole team have said how well he’s bowled. He’s bowling quickly, hitting good lengths. I think in the first game, he showed our seam-bowling group where to bowl, really, said Wood in the pre-match press conference ahead of the third and final ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday.
‘We took a lot from his performance, myself, Jofra and Woaksy, and the areas that he bowled. The areas he bowled, put us under pressure. He kept it tight as well, not just taking wickets but keeping things tights. Mighty impressive and someone who the [England] batters said has performed really well.’
IMO, Afif is a better fit as an opener or one-down in LOI, a better fit than Shanto for situations where we have to score in good rates from early overs.

Don't worry bro, Ireland series is coming. Minnow basher will be back in form for 3 matches
How many more times are we going to see this idiot getting out playing the sweep shot. Like bro, you ain't scoring much with it and costing the team over and over again
Yasir Ali must be greasing his already oil ridden hands to take his spot.
Bangladesh cricket for the next 5 years will not recover. Yes they will probably win against the likes of Ireland or win domestically on spin cultured pitches.
Until some the of seniors scrapped and BCB stops bringing in garbage back like Anamul Haique or using turds like Yasir Ali nothing is going to change for good.
