Mushfiqur Rahman Babu
Career  Sketch by Miran Rahman

Primarily a seamer who comes in off a short run up and did well against the stronger sides in the 1998 Youth World Cup.  Scored 33 against New Zealand U-19 and took 3/36 and 3/48 against England U-19 and West Indies U-19 respectively.  Also bagged a hat-trick against England 'A' in 1999, the first Bangladeshi to achieve this feat against significant opposition.  Has yet to impress in the ODI arena though did pick up the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar on his debut.

Career highlights:
  • 100*, 36 and three wickets in three day match against Australian Academy XI in 2001
