It is heart warming to note that the BD players welcome their fans amidst them. I hope they retain this humility even after they become bigger stars.

BD Tigers are the most humble players in the cricketworld. Sounds ironic ? well, thats the sincere truth. Just feels my heart to acknowledge this!

...my thoughts started to wonder. I imagined myself sitting in Lords this Friday and cheering on a century by our captain. I imagined the gritty opening stand by Nafis Iqbal and Javed Omar and a fiery opening spell by Shahadat and Mashrafe. May be life is this beautiful.
Nice piece of read! You must had some red wine and was in your dream at that time. I wish if I could be there too.

Thanks Guys. I am glad you enjoyed the piece as much as I enjoyed writing it. The main goal was taking you all there even though you were not physically there.
The night was capped off with a surreal exchange at the elevator. We were inside elevator with Mr. Anwar Choudhury, the british highcommissioner in Dhaka and some other people. One person tried to have a conversation with the ambassador and his wife.
Guy: Bhabi, kamon lagchce bangladesh?
Ambassador's wife: Bhalo
Guy: Kon elakai thakchen apnara?
Ambassador: err….we are living at the embassy compound.
Guy: Oh acchcha tai to!
Just when I thought he couldn't have anything more to say, he says:
Guy: Amra prayee jetam okhane.
Ambassador: Keno?
Guy: Visa ante!
We couldn't take it any more. We fled the scene.

Actually, to be even more precise, the guy said:
prayee line kortam amra oitar shamne! HAHAHAHA!
And you all have to remember, all this took place in Sylheti and not in the shuddho bangla that Sraabon has written in!

Hey! i was their at london in the mayor's reception as well..its a pity that i wasnt aware of any banglacricket members presence over there. I'm from Canada and i was extremely lucky to be in London at the right time and i've taken plenty of pictures and videos of that reception myself and funnily enough my pic is there in Asif Saleh's article's first pic http://www.banglacricket.com/files/BDinENG/000_0007.JPG, i m the guy on blue shirt with yellow puma bag on my shoulder!;)
