With BD not winning any matches in the WC, i think the time has come to cancel our test status and give us test status only when we start beating test-nations.

We should arrange matches against teams like Pak 'A', SL 'A', India 'A', Nepal, etc. so that BD plays more matches against oppositions it can beat easily. If BD tours any country, we should arrange a match between a nearby non-test country.

If this were to happen, we would surely come to know the taste of victory and can be more confident when playing against test teams.

All we do here is write mails and sometimes there are good suggestions (like Sham's first calss writeup, many other comments) but it is all for nought because the ideas don't get to the people running cricket. Maybe it would not make any difference as the BCB people think their own ideas are the best.

So, Tehsin can you do something "officially" to capture ideas on a regular basis and forward to several people who are involved with cricketing decisions? Someone mentioned a link in the bcb website. Could some of us volunteer to rotate responsibility of getting some of these ideas compiled and forwarded?

I think Bangladesh should schedule tours of the 4 associates in the WC to come vist Bangladesh in the next 2 years. Those countries played better than we did, and they should come get some cricket against our national, "A" and development sides, probably first class sides as well.

Let's start with Kenya and Namibia.

We need to keep the status - the only reason being, it gives us an edge over teams like Holland and Namibia. How ? Look at how many matches we have played compared to what they get. They really don't get anything. So, we need the status, what we do with it is the main issue.

We have been handed the status in a platter, our players are very very lucky and they should consider themselves privilized to be called test players when they are barely ODI players. They need to realize that, also, does none of them have any self-respect ? nothing ?
