Good Luck to bangladesh team. The game starts about 17 hours from now. On 12th June 9:45 GMT.

We desperately need a good show to have some mental strength ahead of the Netwest series.

The game starts at:

9:45 GMT
10:45 BST
5:45 EDT
3:45 Bangladesh Time.

GMT now is:

Weather Looks OK. Weather Link (http://www.met-office.gov.uk/weather/europe/uk/midlands.html)

According to whatmore, all 15 players will be tested during the practice matches. which gives us the following probable squad

Shahriar Nafis (for JO)

Nafis Iqbal

Habibul Bashar

Mohammad Ashraful (in place of Rajin)

Tushar Imran

Aftab Ahmed

Khaled Masud

Manjarul Rana (in place of rafique)

Khaled Mahmud

Taposh Baisya (in place of mashrafee)

Nazmul Hossain

Players like JO and mashrafee is certained to play and need a rest. so, i'm guessing they will be kept out.

Our opponent is Worcestershire. They are much stronger side than the one we faced yesterday. Shoeb Akter is also set to play this match. following is their squad beside him:

Ben Smith
David Leatherdale
David Wigley
Gareth Batty
Graeme Hick
James Pipe
Kabir Ali
Matt Mason
Muhammed Nadeem Malik
Ray Price
Shaftab Khalid
Stephen Moore
Stephen Peters
Steve Davies
Vikram Solanki
WPUJC Vaas

Not sure who will play among them.

From today's DS

For today's match Bangladesh have made four changes. Mohammad Ashraful is coming in for Rajin Saleh, Shariar Nafees replaces Nafees Iqbal while Mashrafee Bin Mortuza and Mohammad Rafique make ways for Tapash Baisya and Manzarul Islam.

Thank god this is not a 4-day or 3 day match. Hick would have killed us... Anyways... this seems like a good match. Although id rather see BD face Glamorgan and Ganguly, facing Shoaib should be nice.

Selectors already tried him as opener as a change and succeeded. This time opening position is not vacant - too many candidates there. Now they are probably trying to put him with another change - as a secondary keeper.

Probably that is the reason selector thought he could be the best keeper too. What a astonishing change by the selector.

Now BD team selection is becoming a big joke. What's our selectors motive to pick Rajin as a WK? What's the point of selecting this bowling lineup? They're talking about boosting individual performance, but we must not forget that cricket's also a team game. The problem with having an unbalanced team's that after severe bashing team morale as well as individual confidence-level go down, and this affects the performance. There should be a limit of experimenting. We can't say our batters to surpass a score of over 300 when they're already down morally. This'd surely happen today. Seems like Rajin's unreplaceable...........Faruq's trying by all means to see a moderate knock from him. I don't see that it's gonna happen. Rajin's body language shows that he's suffering from a lot of things. And we must not forget that after India had scored 300 + in the 3rd ODI it was already a lost course, and Rajin scored under no pressure at all, which's not the case in England now.

After announcing the team for England tour, Faruq validated the selection of Abir saying that he can play anywhere, as an opener, as an one-down, or in the middle-order. I wonder why he was never tried in the middle order while Rajin's strugging so bad? Nafees Iqbal did comparatively better than Rajin, but it's very easy for the selectors to drop him, to break a growing opening pair not to try Abir in place of Rajin as a middle-order.......unbelievable. Rajin and Munir must have something extraordinary qualities that only Faruq and Co. can identify, not even the players themselves. :bravo:

Good point:up:.
Probably one reason is- if you can bowl in a straight and consistent line you will get wickets as batters are always looking for runs. Nazmul's consistency is superb, therefore he is the ideal OD bowler. (I am not saying he can't bowl in tests, he actually got two wickets in the only test he played).
On the other hand, Shahadat is fast and attacking. Selctors thought he had a better chance in tests. Although he was heavily punished in the test he played, we should not forget that was his first test and played in a very foreign condition. Not to mention the fine quality of the English batsmen.
