What feat - very probably an individual world record in first class cricket - was set in the Barisal - Sylhet match in 2000-01 ?

http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/f/44/f44960.html

The answer can be guessed from careful look at the scorecard and the links in the page.

PS : It has nothing to with rain shortening the match.

Zunaid

That should not be it - you asked for individual feat...

Zunaid

>> The # of teenagers?

Something to do with the age. But number of teenagers is not the answer.

What is the thing about brothers ?

# of matching birthdays?

Tintin
June 21, 2005, 03:54 AM
No,Sydney. Dr. Z - three brothers can't be too rare. Not birthdays either.

Hint - it is one of the 'youngest' records.

Is it Rajin being the youngest first-class captain at the age of 17 years?

Rajin, the youngest first class captain?

Tintin
June 21, 2005, 04:34 AM
TheWatcher and Yasser get the answer. At 17 years and 7 days, Rajin was probably (not completely sure), the youngest man to captain in a first class match.

As James said, two 17 year olds captaining the two sides could be unique too.

Ask Steven Lynch of cricinfo this question : Who is the youngest player to captain a first-class team ?
And see if he refers to this very scorecard that Tintin brought up! :)

Ahh but is it a first class game.

This is not about Bangladesh, but quite relevant.

Some four years ago, in an article for rediff, Sunil Gavaskar picked an all-time World XI. After picking 11 great players, he chose a non-test cricketer as the No.12 because this person apparently could bat, bowl and field better than most international cricketers.

Who was it ?

difficult question...:-/.......want to make it correct also.......

any clue? he is not from bangladesh and not from any other test playing nation........right?

Tintin
July 20, 2005, 11:32 AM
It is a little surprising answer.

From a test playing nation, but not from Asia, and not a test cricketer.

That it is 'relevant' is a big hint. Think about the topics that we are discussing these days :)

Tintin
July 20, 2005, 11:39 AM
