Bar business will finally pick up. It's been slow around my bar lately, and tuition fees doubled. Relief at last!

Sure, ounce of vodka, bit of triple sec (orange liguour), and Lime Juice.

Any drink you want to know, just go here.

http://www.webtender.com/

Go under browse drink recipes,
Drink by "name"
Click under the drink, and you got it.
But, all bars vary, it's not a science. So always double check with bartender or waitress, especially if you are allergic to anything.

About time!

Finally will get to see some action this year. I am totally hockey-starved.

Let's see who supports which team here. I'm a die-hard nucks fan, and a proud owner of a Naslund replica

Let the bashing begin.

its still a few months away till the Game returns on ice, but I am pumped up for NHL as I ever was!

A DIE-HARD LEAFS FAN HERE! Anyone else ?

Mats, the way he dominates, wil contribute a long way to next June's Stanley Cup parade on Yonge Street!

BUT, 35 years and counting! :) Bring it on!

Love your Borg picture. We will all be borgs in a few hundred years. lol. halve computers halve human.
sorry off topic.

I used to watch hockey before school, but can't afford another addiction until school is finished so I made a HUGE sacrafice not to follow it till I'm done. I may have to follow suit with banglacricket. God, I get addicted to everything. Obsessive Cumpulsive Personality they call it. Nevertheless, it'll be great for business, and the patrons at my bar won't be picking my brain about non-sensical stuff, and be yelling and screaming and buying beers instead, helping me get through school. Secretly, I'm jelous that I can't participate. Don't tell anyone.

GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well... the new ice age is finally here, starting on wednesday with all 30 teams in action!

With all their player-improvements and off-season moves, Ottawa and Philadelphia are being touted as the favourites to win the cup. Many arent even considering the Leafs to make it to the playoffs. Hah! The Leafs are made for playoffs...no worry there!

Here... I am writing this : The early-season favourites Sens, IF they meet Toronto in the playoffs, will once again fail to pass them! Its hoping that the Leafs end up winning it all in the end... and for many Sens fans, its all about beating the Leafs in the playoffs, and that's more significant to them than winning the Lord Stanley's Cup! :D

We'll see about it in the spring....

Well...it is a periodic adjustment by some Leafs players...b'coz sometimes they can't see the small puck...running so fast...you know..or may be they drank too much Molson Canadian..hehehehe

Anyway..all's well that ends well...

What's about Todd Bertuzzi, the sucker puncher's replica...are you planning to have that one as well?

Before you start to sound like an Ave, I do not condone what Todd did. As a matter of fact a vast majority of the fans don't and that is reflected in the official forum.

As for the team, well - we are the #2 in the league now. Only the Red Wings have beaten us so far, and guess who won when we played Detroit? But that could well end. Dan Cloutier has been injured last week at the Pepsi Center. Matt Cooke got hit by a puck on the face earlier today. They are both doubtful. Cooke is actually out indefinitely. I do not trust Alex Auld much as a netminder. So it will be very tough work from here on. Most of all, I do miss Brian Burke as the GM. It's a pity he had to go with so much pressure from the top.

As for your question, yep I do indeed own a #44 replica. I got it last week. :)

ouch...that hurt...lol

i went bowling that day. every time i came back after my turn, we'd be down by a goal. in the end, the team turned out to be a laughing stock. we were actually betting on how long it'd take us to give away the next one. :)

Vancouver earned 2 hard fought points last night with their nailbiting 2-1 win over Minnesota. They seriously need to stop giving away stupid penalties, especially Kesler the new kid. They face Columbus tomorrow before back-2-back clashes in Alberta next week.

Senators showed why they are the hottest team in the league now with a 4-2 win over current champions Lightnings.

Edmonton is quietly picking up the tempo here with a road victory over top team of the NHL Detroit. Only consolation for the Wings is that this was an OT loss. So they have managed to salvage a point.

Gretzky's Phoenix shut LA out 4-0, Philly thrashed Washington 8-1, and Aves beat Anaheim in a tight 4-3 finish.

Toronto's misery continues, it seems. Eric Staal, once again, stole the show as Carolina beat the demoralized leafs 4-3 in another exciting game tonight.

Pens beat the Isles 5-1. We had an awful start but finally the team is coming together. Sid is an amazing passer. He is gonna be a great one.

Finally. We are busy again at the bar. Last weekend (was it Friday? or Saturday?) The Canucks palyed Calgary. We lost 2 to 1. First game I watched. I only get to watch at work, and only work friday and sat night. Anyways, I was shocked at how many fights there were. And Carte Blanche, you say that most of the fans don't support violence, in reference to Burtuzzi. But man, with all the fights, everyone was yelling and screaming and really enjoying it at my bar. (I guess boys will be boys  hhhmmmm. I'm alwys torn, as I hate violence, but the boys love it, and it brings the fans in. I don't think it'll ever really go away. As long as they don't pull their gloves down, and it is not cowardly type from behind, I guess it's ok. I'm kinda torn actually as to whether I like it or not.....

In Czech hockey, there wasn't any kind of violence like that in hockey 20 years ago, it was pure skill. Now they have copied NHL and it is similar.

GO CANUCKS GO!!!

Looks like the Leafs are in a mini-crisis here. They got SCHOOLED by Ottawa the last game. Actually they have been getting stomped by Sens all season long. Their record in the last 10 games is 4-5-1. They are currently places at 4th in the 5-team division and 17th in the over-all 30 team league. They play NY Islanders tonight and have an important double-header against division rivals Boston Bruins before the weekend. I predict a Leafs win tonight and a 1-1 tie against the Bruins.

My team is doing mediocre. Vancouver Canucks started off the season with a blast. But we are now tied for 5th place in the league and 1st in our own division. Our road record has been very poor, though on home ice we are the 2nd best in the league. Canucks play Los Angeles Kings tonight and have a double-header against the division rivals Calgary Flames after the weekend.

Beamer's Penguins are unfortunately doing very poorly - 27th in the 30-team league. I like this team (mainly because it's owned by Lemeiux) a lot and to make matters worse, they may have to leave the city of Pittsburgh after this season. Their lease expires and the current arena is causing them a 7m$ loss per season because of its small size. They will be forced to move out and rumours are that Kansas City and Winnipeg are strong contenders to be a new home for the franchise.

btw, did someone say free seasonal passes to a Leafs' game?

Mahir
January 1, 2006, 06:29 PM
well, luks like nobody's complaining now, as the Leafs are riding a season-high 5-game winning streak!

Pat Quinn's now 5-0 on 31st Night-games as the Leafs coach... well I dont think he realises that. What he might still remember is that awful 8-1 loss against the Sabres a couple years ago on January 1.
