why does it show nafees iqbal as the captain? i thought shahriar nafees was supposed to play that role?

btw - they removed talha after an over. wonder whether it was because he gave away 9 runs in that over or because he hurt himself somehow.

Lancashire team is nowwhere neat their full stregth.
only sajid mahmood, and ian sutcliff would make their first XI.

Bangladeshi batsman......watch out for sajid mahmood

I believe Tushar Imran's position in our ODI squad is already confirmed even before being selected for the 'A' team, let alone play some good knocks on this tour.

It is the Test squad that he's not particularly good at, and what he should be aiming for.

Well Tushar has been playing pretty consistently in England and reach to big scores in both the BD A team and also for the National squad. Although he failed in performing consistently well in the Natwest Trophy.
But my question is, why did Lancashire play their second XI for this game?
They were missing, Flintoff, Symonds, Stuat Law, Chapple, Anderson, Cork- all the big named players.

cause the younger player will learn from the match and the big name or first XI players will not gain much playing this match, they would rather have a good days rest than trashing bangladesh A team.
Its not that it is not a competative match so they are missing if it was a bangladesh national team we migh have seen bigger names.

lewis is good, very good if it swings and hes bowls under 80 miles per hour.

Avaris was one of the top wicket taker in English C.
He is also the Openning bowler before Lewis(who has played for England one day team)
Bandara needs Murali to retire before getting a crack at the Srilanka national team.

We were playing in a English wicket where all our other batsmen simply collapsed and Tushar stood alone.

You got to appreciate that.

About Lewis, England wouldn't let a merely above average bowler to play in theeir national team.
You can't blame Bandara for being a player in Murali era. He may be unimpressive in his limited exposure but the fact that he is one of Srilanka's best is telling enough.

That bowling lineup was very potent and Tusher deserves a lot more praise for that ton than he has gotten.

we need few good bats with consistency man like him.

can we bring a Sri Lankan/Indian/Paki and give them a BD citizenship; to play for us? Their teams are so competitive that lot of good players are left out from their national squads. We can lure them with good offers. Our openers are still shaky.

It's been done before ie Kepler Wessels.

But it would be a very bad idea.

You are right! He served Australia at a very difficult time. But Aussies got a good start after that.
