Shubho Noboborsho to everybody.

Happy New Year of the Bengali yearly calender.

Welcome to the 1410.

I hope the players are listening to some of the Bengali songs right now that is being sung on different Pohela Boishakhi programs, and getting their minds off cricket for a while.

Shubho means Happy, Nobo means New and Borsho means Year in Bengali.

Shubho means happy?!?!?! since when?!?!? In Bengali as far as I know we say nice/auspicious new year, literally translated. Its the way this language is.

Plus shahid! Nasif already gave a very proper and correct translation...no need to repeat it!!

Shubho doesn't mean nice. The closest translation I suppose is auspicious.
