View Full Version : Banglacricket.com should disband itself
Rumi

Is it worth it?
A site dedicated for such a horrible cricket team?
Better do something like Bangladanguli.com. That Willl at least help preserve and promote some of our traditional street games.
Look at Mr Persistent, T Taibu, what a fight they are giving against India.
We jump over Ashraful, Aftab etc etc etc. Given that much of training, that much of exposure and chance to play international cricket continuously, my two year old nephew Will be able to play occasions good shot like those Ashraful once a while plays.
Banglacricket.com should cease to exist. It\'s a shame to have such a site now.

It is definitely worth it. Rumi, you can stop visiting banglacricket.com, or even being a fan of BD cricket. But there are hundreds of people (perhaps more), such as myself, who derive great pleasure and satisfaction from following BD cricket -- through its good times AND bad -- and who use banglacricket.com gives as a forum to voice our thoughts/opinions, and to rant (and, you must admit, occasionally rave) about BD cricket. I understand you are bitterly disappointed today, as am I... but I cannot share your sentiment that it is a 'shame' to have this site.

Well Rumi bhai, I always believe one thing i.e. Hope is a good thing, may be the best of things and no good thing ever dies. We the fans are waiting for something good to happen. How long do we have to wait for that? Don't know but I'm still very optimistic. :) I know you are one of the diehard fans of Banglacricket and this thread is nothing more than a temporary emotion. We all are disappointed but should not be demoralized.

I agree Taibu is so young captaining and performing better than anybody else. Ashraful and Aftab should learn from the little master. What about Tushar Imran??? Why dont he make runs. :info:

RUMI, your no real fan simple as that. We as Bengali fans criticise, we are not bigger than the Bangladesh cricket team no-one is and for that reason, and for the reason that we are Bengali, we should support our nation through THICK AND THIN. Supporting a sport club, or a nation is like a marriage it has its ups and downs but in the end your love for it always remains.
I certainly criticise the players but in hope that they will improve, and because i need to get my frustration out i come onto Banglacricket.com, and so too do many others....true fans.
Y o if you are better and can face Murli's spin better get off your arse join a cricket team and try and get into the Bangla cricket team, ohhhhhhhhhh no, your not good enough, so know your place bro.
[edit].
BY THE WAY, Taibu hasnt got that great a record, his avg. are no way that much better than ahmeds, or ashrafuls, and when BDesh played Zimb, Taibu captained his side to a DEFEAT, yeah the team your dissing beat the captain's team your marveling at.
IF you got something decent to say i'd like to hear it, but when everyone is down, your comments about Bdesh's team, just makes me support them even more.
GO ON BANGLADESH I HAVE FAITH!
AND THANK YOU BANGLACRICKET.COM

People who truly love bangladesh cricket will stick to it even if bangladesh score lower than the lowest. If you have problems with this site, then just stop visiting. Banglacricket has done a great job for all the fans around the world and I want to thank them.

Bangladesh fans are emaciated. Since we recently won against Australia that really should keep us going for at least another 5 years of starvation and famine (so do try to conserve energy...)

Please stop gloating over the Australian victory. This is not helping. I hope it is NOT enough for the next five years of the BD team.

I think prasad hit the nail in the head. this site is also an important dedication to Bangladesh, and a landmark in the web!
i.e not only about cricket.

Better do something like Bangladanguli.com.
You have a point. But I think renaming Bangladanguli.com. will create a new problem of its own. All the Ganguly fans will start invading the site.

Rumi bhai is just down. He has been a great fan of our cricket as well as this site.
Such a defeat after so much promise with 155/2 is really hard to swallow for anyone. But I'll keep my dream alive with even more vengeance.

I think you will give a good reason to Ganguly to visit this site everyday by renaming this site as Bangladanguli.com.
Other than that i support this site's name as Bangladanguli.com.

Some memories which will really tell you why we haven't left banglacricket and its team..........
Ash's 116 on debut, 158 against India, glorious 100 against Australia, 52 ball 94 against England, Aftab's 5-31, his 67 against India that helped us win the match, the Multan test, one wicket lost against the Caribbean in odi, Rafique's 100, the commendable draw against the Windies, Enamul the youngest palyer to take a 10-wicket haul, win in Zimbabwe including the rebel players, first test and odi series victory against Zimbabwe ans so on and on..................... My advice; be at your cool, these calibres of showing will happen more often in the future. Till then, lets support them and lets not forget we still have another test, which can still change the tide of our team

spot on...we are gonna have ups and DOWNs...who ever heard of a team which always played better than its previous games or which never lost.
success comes with failures. in order to win you must lose. if all you did was win, what would be the point of playing?

I thought the threads original post was done out of shear frustration and a bit jokingly. We are being too serious. Relax guys! I know Rumi bhai would be the one of the last person to see banglacricket stop hosting.
On a serious note (not) it is better to have bangladanguly.com.

Regardless of how down is Mr Rumi in the aftermath of the 1st Test defeat, him calling out for the extinction of this site is plain disturbing. This site wasnt made to close down when the team fails to please the fans. If the case was so, every fan sites in the world of sports should have closed at least once, because every sports team goes through a time period as less acceptable as Bangladesh cricket team's, if not a worse one.

BanglaCricket is awesome! Some don't know how lucky you are to have such a site dedicated to your team. I am not even a Bangladesh fan and I think this site is top!
Kudos to Mahmood and the team

Its offcourse ridiculous to suggest that this site should cease to exist because we have a struggling team. It helps to spread the culture of cricket among the fans, particularly BD fans, who are simmilarly like our team, is in a period of infancy. I am sure a lot of people here have learnt a lot about cricket and other stuff by discussing their points. I know I have. A strong cricket culture is a necessity for the future of the game in a given country. Banglacricket is doing a fantastic job attaining that goal in their
capacity.
