Just watched the highlights in ntv. All the three goals were keeprs fault. They definitely need to improve their game next time.

Its a do or die match for Nepal.

I just read some comments by Bangladeshi Coach, they are planning to play more defensive against Nepal. Thats a bad sign, When you play with a defensive mind, chances are you will end up not scoring - and probably loosing.

I say , have a target to score 5 goals against Nepal, and play agressively, then u wud probably end up scoring 2 or 3, even if ur opponent make a score or 2.

Thanks Mav, but I thought there was some other link. Anyway, I don't think the time of the match is right. I saw Saturday newspapers from Dhaka, and they were saying the match time was 7 pm. I am assuming that is Bangladesh time and not PST.

In the second match of the day, defending champions Bangladesh brushed aside Nepal 2-0 to book a berth in the semi final. The match was not played in the good spirit as no less than seven yellow cards were shown to the players, four to the Nepalese players. The star for Bangladesh was 23-year old striker Rokonuz Zaman Kanchan who scored both the goals.

Bangladesh and India both scored 5 goal but India conceded 1 goal. So Bangladesh will become group champion with just a draw while India has to win it.

We will probably play it safe and sit out some of the players. 5 players were carded in the Nepal game with atleast 3 of them were questionable decisions. Hope we don't face the yemeni referee again. I personally think that we should have lodged a complaint but the team decided against it.

I would rather face Pakistan in the semis and try to avoid them (hosts) in the finals. Also, an India-Maldives semi-final is going to knock off one of our big competition

It is official: Maldives 0: Pak 0 Maldives group champ.
Ind 1: BD 1 Bd group champ.

BD are the group champs and will face Pak in the Semis. Maldives will take on India on the other semis.

well the pakis did struggle against the Afghans, so unless the referee is really biased, i don't see why we shouldn't pound them.

mmmm...pounding the paki team in their own backyard...feels g2od!
