Well,

I think BD U19 will loose the final (Wont tell why now?)

Ofcourse like any Bangladeshi, i hope they win the trophy and make us proud.

But I am scared they will loose!!!

It's better losing to them before the final so we can overhaul them as underdogs in the Final.

This time losing to SriLanka is not that bad, IMHO.
BD U19 will be more determined and correct their mistakes to win the final.
Go BD.:fanflag:

Only 14 runs. They put up a good fight. I think it would have been incredibly painful to go through undefeated and then lose the final. Maybe this will give them insentive to pick up their game just a little bit more.

i wouldn't look down on cubs even if they don't win the final. I hope they do win. But it's a final. and, it could be any team's day. keep it up cubs

Yes! This is exactly what I was hoping for! Better a loss in the round robin than the final. I feel much better now.

tamim and sakib are openers right? they made 55+77 ,
so i tink there was a middle order collapse again.
anyway we can use good openers in future.

Scorecard from Cricinfo (http://usa.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/2005-06/OTHERS/BDESH-U19-TRI/SCORECARDS/BDESH-U19_SL-U19_BDESH-U19-TRI_11DEC2005.html)

I don't get it, we have so many good SLA's in our country, still our batsmen don't learn to handle them well, on top of that Puspakumara is a mediocre bowler who had just three wickets in the series before this match. Anyway, I hope cubs learned something from this match and it will help them to win the final.

CI Report (http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/bangladesh/content/story/229267.html)

Defeat for Bangladesh hasn't affected their position in the table - they still top the group - but it has proven that they are not, afterall, invincible.

We only lost by 14, I think we'll bounce back

very close game. this is exactly what was required. should encourage them to lift their game for the finals.

btw, sakib's really impressing me. how old is he again? 15?

and we will definitely win the finals. the lankans will go home empty-handed.

I think Tamim opens sometimes with Mehedi and sometimes with Raquibul.

Anyway, the match was a close one and it's good to see that our RR was in line with victory target. We just lost all 10 wkts before reaching the target. That is a good beginning in BD learning curve. Usually we (including seniors) get all out with heaps more to score or finish the innings very slowly falling long behind the target. Kids are showing they are changing that trend and turning the table around. I'm not disappointed at all on this result. InshAllah we'll win the final.

Yep nsd3, you are right, our boys were on target until Shuvo and Mehedi ran themselves out. It was unfortunate, hopefully tailenders will do a better job in the next match.
