Hmm... Reminds me of the old aggie joke.

What happened when the aggie moved from Texas to Oklahoma?

He raised the IQ of both states.

Orpheus
December 31, 2005, 02:52 PM
heh!

IQ of BC is probably below Oklahoma!

what's wrong being the one eyed king in the land of blind?

This is a heated one. 6 with in one or two be the winner. Interesting.

Wait, I think I voted for the wrong guy, I thought the poll meant best BUIRA. I guess that's what most folks thought. Explains Orphy's lead in the board. :)

Orpheus
January 6, 2006, 08:18 PM
WHen do you lock it? Getting a bit tense...

So Tehsin bhai are you saying you voted for me? If that's the case, then that's all I need...

THe founder and the owner of BANGLA CRICKET voted for ME!!!!! Shouldn't his vote weigh like 99%?

:great:

Zunaid
January 6, 2006, 08:28 PM
More like 0. Tehsin is too much in love with his own shadow. If and when I decide to vote, that person becomes the automatic winner.

I don't want or need anyone to suck up to me. People just do it anyway. Aaah, the burden of fame and superior intellect.

Orpheus
January 6, 2006, 09:03 PM
fame and superior intellect?

You are that naive huh? They are just after your in-law-inherited money....

"yeee haawww"!

I think Orphy just rung up his friends and told them to vote for him. Poor form.

heh! Na man that's foul. I don't play that but I have to admit somewhat subliminal campaign has taken place... For example, my increased amount of posts lately and interacting with some members more frequently than others probably caused them to vote....

How do I know? well the person who voted told me..

So, I am sure about one vote but the second vote I am uncertain of..... I know Melancholy was online when I was posting in this thread... It may be her because She and I go to the same school... (this can be borderline foul).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now who deserve this?

The person that I voted for. This category was a really tough choice because every single poster here goes way back..... It is hard to choose between posters like fab, Rafiq, Pundit, yourself (James90), Orpheus etc etc....

So I had to think because I really like these posters...Then I asked my-self : What constitute a "best" veteran.

Well whose presence through out the years is weighted the most... and I think it's

James90

I mean we are all here because we all love cricket but most importantly we love Bangladesh cricket because almost all of us are Bangladeshi. But you are the sole young man, who is not a Bengali but has been with us through out the years just from the sheer love for our cricket team.....You don't know whom to support when Bangladesh plays Australia...

True we had/have non-bangladeshis in this forum but how many of them become/became our permanent resident?... only you and Tintin!

So I think your presence is truly acquired and genuine love whereas ours is mostly genetic....

You deserve Bangladeshi citizenship (even though you may not want it.. hell I don't even want it) - but take the honor.. :fanflag:

Before you accuse me of hitting on you... I better stop!

I just think people who are not voting for you (and me (self promotion)) are not thinking.

Orpheus' Best Veteran as long as BC survives : James Studman

Orpheus, honestly, how many id's did you make lately to boost your chance of winning this poll? Be honest. And did not you voted for yourself as well?

Orpheus
January 6, 2006, 11:17 PM
haha.. yeah! Man I have a habit of not sleeping at night.... sleep around some odd time....my circadian clock probably doesn't function anymore....

When school is open, I have plenty of things to do but at night what the hell am I gonna do? Well BC to the rescue...

James90

Since the nomination and voting started i have noticed there is about 40 new id's made what i think is the by the existing members. This polls and specially this one doesn't make any sense to me. Is anyone listening?

Well I couldn’t resist myself not to participate on this forum since my name showed up.
I thought voting is really a personal judgment. You vote for the person that you think is the right one for the category. And I am sure every member that was nominated for the Best Veteran of 2005 has those qualifications.
Moreover, in every race there is ONE winner not all. What I am saying is I am sure those members that voted for these nominees voted for the one that they thought deserved it the most. Now one don’t just give their vote easily to a person that they know or if they are somehow related to the nominee.
Orpheus just coz you and I go to the same school it really doesn’t mean that I have to give away my vote for u. I made my own judgment! Even though I got paid to vote for u. You can’t buy votes with money ORPHY.
Just kidding! He is too cheap to pay me or any1 even a dollar just for a vote..
Anyways Congratulations! It seems u won w/ or w/o my vote..
:bravo:

whatever you just rigged this poll and I don't appreciate that...

You just took all the juice out of this poll... then again taking juice out of things is not a problem for you.
