Yeah, that's a good point.

Well guys, I think its the ground where group A teams are playing. Colombo (Nondescripts) ground is not producing enough runs for the teams which can be varified from the last few group A matches. Where as in other grounds, where ever ausi and india are plaing, we see higher totals.

Correct me if my understanding is wrong!

50 extras in totals of 170 and 171! That is disgraceful. I am surprised to see even the spinners are conceding wides. Our seemers are almost clueless. Squeaking by in preliminaries is no guarantee that championship round will be the just as dramatic. We will certainly be exposed of our bowling weakness in the next round. I hope we just bat well which we are capable of.

Very harsh I would say- given the fact that these U19 pacers are not that used to bowling with the white ball. Over the last 8 months BD U19 has done extremely well with these bowlers beating some quality opponents along the way. Its true we prolly dont have the best pacers in the tourney but lets not get too worried when it requires none.

Most probably even have not noticed that Khadim didn't bowl a single over today although he is a pretty good pacer. As the spinners were doing well his service wasn't even needed! I think with more games both our bowlers and batters will get more settled. Tamim and Saqibs not even fired with the bat, yet.

So proud of BD U-19. Wish BD main team learns something.

All of the resident pessimists here, now get off with your negativities and stop doubting this team's calibre. This team is_not_overrated. They have shown class and character to overcome adversities when badly needed in these two games. Under the leadership of a special captain who played like a true champion today, this team does have what it takes to go all the way. And I believe from the bottom of my heart that history will be made in a few days' time.

Hats off to the boys! Congratulations on a journey well commenced and specially on knocking off our arch-rivals. We are proud of you.

LateCut's comment might sound a bit harsh, but he still has a valid reason to be worried about our bowlers in the light of previous two matches. Our bowlers also conceded lots of wide's and no's against NZ match. Giving away so many extras should not be overshadowed by our two wins. It can be fatal and may cost a lot to tigers in the next round. Hope our U-19 coach is well aware of sudden collapse of his batters and bowler's wayward wide balls and takes necessary steps accordingly.

brilliant victory...and I wouldn't read too much into the indifferent performance (by our boys' standards) just yet...they has been a lot of "external pressure" and "phone calls" back and forth which coach de Winter referred to...and hopefully, now, fans and authorities will admire and support the team from a distance, let the players play thier natural game and stop, unwittingly of course, putting extra pressure on our young guys.

First of all i would like to congratulate our cubs for their win :fanflag: But i do also think that if they keep giving away so many extra runs it can cost them dear in later matches. In the next round they are going to face even more ruthless competitors...so they must learn to keep their extras in check.

Best of luck to the cubs!!
