Prasad, not even for spin bowlers? In BD, we will tend to have a slip fielder for "gali" cricket even if it's a spin bowler. Granted with a tennis ball, even spin balls come are bowled at a decent click.

no.usually 8-10 over games r played.the main intention is to save runs.so slip fielders r not used.a fielder is placed at gully.i dont remember a slip fielder being used.

i dont know if its an illusion,it looks like the wall behind the wicket is a bit close.and the playing field is small.mayyb they r trying to accomodate a fielder.

The picture shows how deep our cricket culture goes. At present, Cricket is the most popular game in Bangladesh. And all indications show we are rising to a mighty Cricketing nation.

a bunch of madrasa students playing on "green top". lol. i wish we had some of the real "green tops" in our domestic cricket. in my arear (para) test match has become really popular among kids. they play 1 inning test matches. sometimes 2 innings. they really seem to enjoy it very much. they usually have at least 2 slip fielders untill the tape on the ball loses it's shine and freshness. it's really fun to watch. very competetive.

in our school,we once played a 3 week long test match,it just went on and on.
i think the restrictions we have at our street cricket are good for us .as we can only play straight drives,it helps in the future.also soft hand playing is a good thing
and ashraful and aftab both started their career in streets.
