What is our expectation from the 1st test?? Can we make the test draw at least??
I'm really worried about exclusion of Mashrafe and Aftab.

i would be happy if they manage to avoid innings defeat even if the match ends in 4 days.

Instead of setting targets for the entire Test, the players ought to worry about trying to compete in each and every session and before they know it, they'll be competing overall as well.

So I am going to take this day by day and session by session.

On the first day, if we get to bat first, my hope is that Bangladesh will remain not out at the end of the day. If we manage to score about 250 odd for 8 wickets or so, I'll be plenty pleased! But to do that, we will need 2 or 3 significant partnerships! What I dont want to see is a repeat of the 155 for 2 to 188 all out as in Colombo!

So, ideally: Bangladesh 260 for 8
More realistic: Bangladesh 162 all out, SL 108 for 1

If we bowl first, I'd like our bowlers to try to get half of the Sri Lankan team out and keep them to under 300 runs. If we can pick up 5 or 6 wickets for about 280 runs, we'll be into their tail and can finished them off for about 350 on day 2. To do that we will have to bowl with discipline, be patient, and make sure to take every catch that comes our way! Any team will provide 4 or 5 chances in a day, we just have to make sure to them all and bowl tightly when the wickets aren't coming.

So, ideally: SL 270 for 6
More realistic: SL 340 for 3

An innings defeat is inevitable. Still I want to see them play session by session and have some prudent game plan for each session according to the condition of an innings.

I want to see Murali is being overshadowed by Enamul's magic spin and a ton and a couple of fifty's from our batters. Are they too much of an asking?
