All right, I am bored with the following topics:

-Mushfique must be in
-Drop Nafis
-Kapali is good
-Aftab has jaundice

So, here is the next big thing. What's your team for the first ODI against kenya? It's not that far away.
Here is mine:

1) Nafis Iqbal
2) Sahriar Nafis
3) Tushar Imran *
4) Mohammed Ashraful
5) Habibul Bashar
6) Aftab Ahmed
7) Khaled Masud
8) Alok kapali *
9) Mohammed Rafique
10) Mashrafee Mortaza
11) Sk Rasel

Explanations:

3) We need to give some more chances to Tushar Imran, and he will evantually pull it. And, when he does, he will be more consistent that anyone, just my opinion. For number 3, alt. are Rajin Saleh & Mushfiqur Rahim

8) Kapali looked good in ODI, and if he does well in 2nd test, or doesn't play the test at all, I will go with him in the first ODI. For number 8, alt. are Abdur Razzak, & Manjurul Islam.

Bring Al Shariar Rokon for 1-2match atleast against Kenya coz against such team he can do too much....

No, way Nafis....to open....

I want players like Rafique, Aftab, Rokon who can take big shots...to be included in kenya series...

If bd looses 1st two matches...we need to bring some u19 players only to save our face as they for sure will thrash kenya..tamim will smsh kenya, saqib, shamsur, mhrab jnr...

sometimes i feel why dont out u19 play vs kenya..coz we all noe we will win if thats da case...
our national team may loose to kenya....javed opening means...no chance 300plus score...

i want 300plus socre in ever match and great bowling too..
we need to show the world we r far better than kenya....

I dont mean to bring our u19 players to bd team for ever...jst for this kenya series..make them play coz we are sure to win then....

i want to take the revenge from kenya...i want thrash them like hell..and hope that will prove to us that.we are better than kenya atlast...

play first match cautiously to make sure kenya doesn't pull off a shocker.
1. Shahriar Nafees
2. Javed Omar
3. Tushar Imran (he is a bully against weaker opponents)
4. Ashraful
5. Habibul Bashar
6. Aftab
7. Kapali/Rana (if rana playes then pilot comes at 7)
(If pitch is pacer friendly and we need a 3rd pacer
send rajib instead of tapash or nazmul)
8. Pilot
9. Rafique
10. Mashrafee
11. Russel

if we win convincingly and are sure than kenyan bowlers are not that big a threat, send rafique to open drop javed omar (the main reason we have him in the team is to stop collapse)
replace javed omar with rokon who is at his best against weaker opponents or if selecors don't wanna take risk with rokon and wanna have someone like JO incase we start collapsing, send rajin saleh.
1. S. Nafees
2. Rafique
3. Tushar
4. Ashraful
5. Bashar
6. Aftab
7. Rokon/Rajin
8. kapali/Rana/Rajib (if pitch is pacer friendly)
9. Pilot
10.Mashrafee
11. Russell

No need of Golla against Kenya.....I prefer Aftab and Nafis(LHB) in openning stand....:joy:

most of the lineups I see here have only 3 regular bowlers in mashrafee rafiq and rasel... by sending kapali seven we are taking him as a specialist bowler which he is not... he is at most a fifth bowler... so if we play kapali, we needs to come in number six and we need to have another bowler in the side...... so here is my lineup:

Javed Omar/Nafis Iqbal
Shahriar Nafees
Aftab Ahmed
Mohammad Ashraful
Habibul Bashar
Alok Kapali/Tushar Imran/Al Shahriar
Khaled Mahmud
Manjarul Islam
Mohammad Rafique
Mashrafee Mortaza
Syed Rasel

I don't think they will play tushar or al shahriar though... we looked pretty good against srilanka and the selectors will most likely keep the same team against kenya...

underestimating bangladesh and fielding a second string side cost india and sri-lanka a match a piece. since winning all the games is very important for BD to qualify for qualifying round of ICC Champions trophy, i don't think taking any risk would be wise. we should be confident but not over confident. but i agree that we could give a chance to tushar imran and/or rokon, but we can't afford to make any more changes than that .

My team for first one day againest Kenya. In batting order

1. Rokon (Yes you read it right, he is the greatest bully of weak bowling Bangladesh ever produced)
2. N Iqbal (No need of JO, if we need JO to stop crash againest Kenya, then I think we should stop playing
3. Aftab (An automatic choice)
4. T Imran ( Another Bully againest weak Bowling
5. Ash (Is there any question?)
6. S Nafis
7. Alok (this is his opportunity to prove me wrong about his capability.
8. Pilot
9. Rafiq
10. Mash
11. Rasel

As you would find that there is no Basher. I do not think his batting is suited for one dayer. This is our opportunity to check whether it work. In terms of captaincy may be we could handed it to Ash. Sonargaon experiment proved that he plays better with captaincy.

As one would find that there is only 3 front line bowler. I want Aftab, Ash, Tusher and Alok to take responsibility of 20 overs. Zims experience shows tht they are quite weak againest spin. So with 4 spiners we could succed. If it is succesful may be in 2nd match Aftab could open with Mash and we could play enamul in place of Rusel

Yes, Kenya is a much weaker team than us, but it will be an act of self-mutilation if we take them lightly. We need to sort out few issues in this series.

1) We have to be ruthless to kenyans, like the way those New Zealander and South African have been to us, to prove once and for all we are far more superior than them.

2) We all love Javed Omar, but do we really need him against Kenya? Let's think positive atleast against Kenya.

3) I don't think Tushar is a minnow bully. I do think he hasn't been given enough chances for him to feel secure about his place. So every time he goes to the crease he has to rush himself. I think Tushar is a class- those runs against the strong county attacks in England just shows that. If you are comparing him with Rokon, then you are just comparing an apple with an orange.

4) Droping Bashar from the team is going to ruin the series for us for sure. Look at what happened to Sri Lanka. It's not a small change to the team, it's a huge change, and there will be no chemistry, no team spirit, you get the idea.

Player who are consitently performing internal leagues should get a chance. I agree with many of you that it is time to take another look on Rokon, Tushar, Hannan, Sizan. Also we should consider our under 19 stars (Mushfiq, Mehrab Jr, Tamim, Raqib, Sakib) for a match or two.

The key is, it gotta be a perfect match of current BD national players and other good performers. It should open a door for stiff competetion at international level for BD payers.

Ash will bowl ten overs then. So the smart choice would be (if we really have to give bashar a break) K Mashud.

What will happen when Tikolo bats in the middle? Risking Ash, Tushar, Alok's stat?

players doing well at leagues/U19s can be played in A teams. National team is not the place for experiments. whoever makes to the national team must be a proven performer at all levels below it. So, no matter how good the U19s are, we'll only be hampering our chances by bringing them in.

1. JO (stop the fuss, he still scores 20 regularly, unlike our more flambouyant players)
2. S. Nafees
3. T. Imran (the best #3 in current BD line-up that i've seen, can bowl too)
4. Ashraful
5. Bashar (seems to be enjoying this position and provides a stability of some sort)
6. Aftab (he should be a permanent fixture here)
7. Alok/Rana (i dont care abt either)
8. Pilot
9. Rafique
10. Mashrafe
11. Rasel
12. Taposh/Nazmul

I agree with Flipper's team except on one point- the team needs four specialist bowlers besides part timers Aftab and Alok. I also thinks BCCB should make spinning pitches against Kenya, and it is high time they should give Enamul another try at few limited over matches. That means they have to sacrifice a batsman- nothing personal against Tushar, but I think it has to be him.

So who will be our onedown batsman? Here I like Sujon's idea of using Mashrafe as a pinch hitter. India had success using Pathan in this position in the first ODI against Pakistan, since Mashrafe bats pretty straight, he may also produce similar results for us from this position once a while.

So, my team is-

NI
SN
Mashrafe
Ashraful
Bashar
Aftab
Kapali
Pilot
Rafique
Rasel
Enamul

Not sure if the sub rule will be still in effect during the Kenya series. If it is, then either Tushar or Rajin can be the sub.

Yes I agree, Enamul should be tried more in limited overs. This is one guy I think who is going to write our fortune in the future. I will sacrifice Kapali to make way for him. Mash, I don't think, is a good idea at 3, but it's worth a try.
