No lover, no hater. Can we all agree that Rahim is a very talented kid and at 17, he needs all our support to continue flourishing.

There have been a lot of discussion and a lot of name calling. I would really appreciate it if we mature a little bit and stop calling each other 'stupid'.

Was it a mistake to put him up against Murali? On hindsight (and as his short history against spin proved), it was. However, it had nothing to do with which FAN was for it or against it. Think about what I just wrote. :)

Also, just because he failed in that one test doesn't mean he is bad, it only means he failed in that one match and maybe, he needs a little bit more time.

So, can we agree to disagree on this issue and just drop the whole subject ? If we do decide to continue, can we refrain from calling each other names and act like little kids. And for the sake of Rahim, I would urge everyone to refrain from making any negative comment about him. At 17, he has already the pressure of going against the best of the world, the last thing he needs is some Monday morning quarterbacks riding his case. I appreciate your understanding.

Cheerio.

Arnab/Sham/Zunaid - what would be a good replacement for Monday morning quarterback ?

It doesn't make sense to open a thread to analyze why M. Rahim didn't do well. Let's close the thread and urge our fans to have some patience

As I mentioned in some other thread, talent and skills are not the only factor for any sorts of sports. Mental strength and adaptibility sometimes become the principal determinants for the better performance. With every respect to their potentials and talent, I would say again they (Rahima and other U-19s) are not yet prepared in mental strength to cope with this level of cricket. yes, let them grow in their psychic ability that some of our players really lack. Period. I agree.............this topics should not be looping.............

Imagine being able to read the bowler's mind before delivery and know which kinda ball is coming? No more fear of the dusra or tisra, every bouncer will be easily tackled and every yorker driven on the full :lol:

Sorry couldn't resist. It's late and I should sleep :)

it was too early to send him against murali. and it was in his home ground and the pressure was too much for him. i think we should give him some time. he should play a year or two in national league and tour some countries with a team. this will help building his mentality. otherwise he will fail again

There are at least a dozen of threads on if it was good or bad to include him in test team. It appears that we (bd fans) can continue this topic forever. Many threads started with some other topic but ended with a long debate on this issue. I think Tehsin is right and we should now put a full-stop on this topic which has been way too much! Let this guy to build up his own way and "Akashey chad uthley to amra shobai dekbo e."

Come'on guys! Come up with some interesting posts. Isn't it getting tiring and boaring to see all those Mushfiq topics?

This thread is not for selecting Mushfiq was right or wrong. This is to put some sense of BC members who calls their peers "stup*d" and other things.

Patience is something one can not impose. They have to cultivate. I remind myself and my fellow members to start cultivating patience and nurture it.

Cats_eye, I understand that the thread is not about Mushfiq was right or wrong. But if you look into some of the last comments of this thread, are not we again diverting to the same topic?

Yeah, Patience!! That's what we all are practicing since last 5/6 years with our team. I hope I will not need to be patience till my death. (Don't ask my age though, I am a old man).
