Every last time when we were to meet Kenya, we thought of ourselves as the favorites, and lost.

The only time when we did not think of ourselves as the favorites, rather, we thought of our world record of losing 22 matches one after another, that only time we won.

Now you guess what my mindset is right at this moment.

I'm just hoping that since weather might intervene in this series, it'd be best for us if the weather intervenes in a situation like the following:

Bangladesh 5 or 6 wickets down for only 50 to 70 runs, and there is no way that we have the hope of winning the match, and then rain comes pouring down to save us, as well as to correct our mistake to think of ourselves as the favorites.

Today's Prothom Alo said what Mashud said would make the difference this time - our youngsters. I think we have seen enough of Mashud's such words recently to totally think of the opposite, at least that has what happened throughout his times when he was s a captain. Will the player Mashud's words be any different?

well, i think there's nothing wrong with thinking of yourself as the favorite as long as u dont let it make you overconfident. i read a few reports on bashar's thoughts about today's match, and he seemed spot on. he acknowledged that going into today's match, bd is the better team. but that takes nothing away from kenya, as they have proven many times that they can beat anybody on their day.

thats rational thinking from the captain.

I gotta tell you FW, your pessimism has a familiar ring, and a wet-blanket-ish feel to it. I'd rather be concerned about rain intervening when Kenya down is 50/5.

As far as Mashud is concerned, I rather think one of the 'oldies' like Mashud himself, Bashar or most probably Rafique is due to step up. The Pilot is gracious in praising the cabin crew but, must forget those in the cockpit.
