That was good bowling at the death. But a pathetic performance from us overall. We should never have let Kenya get so close. It's time to go back to the drawing board. Bashar and Ash: terrible game. Everybody else got starts, but then messed things up against a terrible bowling side. I'm disappointed.

That shows bangla boys can take the heat, we always happen to be the other side, who gets close and loose.
At least we are now safe for ICC qualification stage.

Ohhh ... What a relief!!!!!!
Now see how couple of runs or over makes things different! Bahsar and Ash should have atleast play couple of overs today. Only Nafees, Alok, Rafique and Mashud saved us today. Well done boys, great job at the end.

getting 2 openers out for under 10 runs is impressive.

Bhai I was offline for about a hour finding Kenya need about 10 runs per over.

I have never though the game would be so close :sorry:

Anyway :bravo: rafique

I am really disappointed by BD performance today and is quite impressed by kenya fightback.

There was every possibility of kenya win up to 48 over.

The fact that Kenya played well was a good thing for us....much better practise then the first two games.

I think we really batted very bad that gave Kenya to come back strongly. Now a days 231 is not at all a score to defend. Full credit goes to Mashrafee and Rafque.

Really really disappointed to find that Bangladesh is playing same level of cricket like Kenya.

"getting 2 openers out for under 10 runs is impressive."

No, if someone like Rassel or Shahadat, who are completely inexperienced, had got 2 openers out, then it would have been impressive.

But when someone like Mashrafee, who is not only experienced by now, but also our main strike pace bowler gets 2 wickets in the 1st 10 overs and then does virtually nothing in the final overs of the day, then it is simply disappointing.

Its good that our bowlers were under a bit of pressure. Generally when we are "defending a total, its the opponent batsmen that are under pressure for fear of losing to BD.

Congratulations Bangladesh on winning.

Kenya's performance was really unexpected.

Bangladesh would have won this too without any moments of panic had Ashraful and Bashar lived up to expectation.

A battered team which had played only depleted Zimbabwe in the last 18 months being allowed to get this close seems unacceptable. Anyway, cricket does produce surprise results.

The most important thing is Bangladesh won and now lead 3-0.

Bangladesh can easily wrap this up 4-0, if they play their normal game.

Anyway, as you said ,the team will need to put their heads together to see what went wrong.

huh what? which strike bowler in the world picks up two wickets in his opening spell in a regular basis? please tell me, i seriously want to know. who is this amazingly great bowler continually getting the best of the opposition out, EVERY SINGLE GAME.

masri picked up another wicket at the death, gave up 38 runs in 9.2 overs of bowling, and caught a good long ball at the deep. thats simply disappointing?

Mash did well with the ball. Besides, I think at least 2 very good shouts for lbw went against him, otherwise, he would have had the 5-for.

Actually, Rafiq also was turned down on solid lbw calls. Come to think of it, luck and bad umpiring was on Kenya's side yesterday...

So we are capable of being disappointed with Mashrafe now? I guess I underestimated Bangla Cricket. So, the best course of action would be to drop him, our best cricketer that is.

We all know how he bowls, and how consistently, so I will spare my thoughts unless someone wants to argue, but statwise this was Mash's best figure in an ODI, and as Billah points out his bowling figure could have been even a better looking one last night.
