As you've all probably heard dat Jayasuriya the Sri Lankan batsmen who has demolished many bowling attacks throughout his years in International Cricket has called it quits in Tests after next weeks Test Match against Pakistan. He will still continue to play ODIs with an aim to play in next years WC. This guy with Kaluwitharana changed the way of batting in the first 15 overs and introduce 'pinch-hitting'. He was Man of the Tournament in the '96 WC when SL won. Additonally he scored 340 against India in Colombo back in '98 and scored 228 at the Oval against England. This man is a true legend not only a SL legend but a cricket one!

he was the most aggressive batsman-in the world in his prime-even surpassing afridi/flintoff.
he could mantain his innings, and frequently shone with the bat scoring a big 80-100 runs.
unlike afridi etc.
he will be missed in test-we are lucky we still are able to spectate his batting in odi's- his bliss.

Those who watched his Last ODI innings would know his class. He knows when to step aside unlike some other subcontinent ex-captains. Wish him all the best.

Well played to a gentleman of the game.
I'm glad he's staying on in the ODIs.

I surely would miss his presence in the center of the field. Well good luck to him in his retirement. I hope he atleast plays 2007 WC.
