We really have to stop drifting it down leg side, it's costing us! They'll put those ones away in their sleep! Gotta get it a foot outside off stump, just short of a good length (The ball will keep low on the odd occasion - they may misjudge the bounce). Comon fellas'!

Well. if u look at how Gilly is playing Rafiq.. u would also probably want to change him for a while. He is actaully reading Rafiq very well.and Rafiq is least effective against him. Moreover, Rafiq doesnt really have many variation to give gilly trouble. Gilly is playing perfectly at the moment. Thats why.. I want Rajib to bowl gilly.. an Jr to bowl Lee. Lee has no clues against Jr.. and Rajib will be much more effective with his away swing on left handers in this cloudy weather with wind support.

There is still a lot of time left in this test match.

- Tonight it might rain, so tomorrow the match could start late.
- Guilchrist and Lee could score 100 runs more together
- It is our tradition to do very very very well on Days 1, 2 and 3 and then lose the match from there - it has happened many times before.
- We could draw this test match and end up scoring very low in the 2nd test, which in my opinion, is not good enough - not after dominating the Australians in this fashion.
- It is our tradition to take the top and middle order batsman of the opposing team and then struggle to take the wickets of late order batsman - this could happen to us tomorrow.

ha ha ha ... fwullah go get some sleep, you may miss the game tomorrow lack of sleep, or too much of thinking. Every thing will be all right, just enjoy the moment.
She is right in many of her predictions,we really lost many matches to tail enders, remember the opening test, remember the test against SL?we got 5-6 wkt's quickly and their late order got us out of the match,i still believe we'll lose the match badly,Aus will score 450,gilly 230,lee 78,gilespy 56,warne 67.And Bd will score 120 in the second innings,SN 0,Basher 3.
Then Aus will chast it in 20 overs,losing 1 or 2 wkt's.

It's really how it happened in the past.

Will the future be different????

Bangladesh should not enforce the follow on even aussies are bundled out before reaching 227. Bangladesh should bat positiviely and make 230-250 odd run in the second innings and the let them play the music of our bowlers. let's keep the finger crossed.. Its going to be our test.

I agree with that. It would be very hard to bat on this pitch for the fourth innings of the match. If it gets to the 5th day it would be even harder for them. I hope Dav and the captain knows about that.

Adam Gilchrist, who struck two huge sixes to claim the record for big hits in his unbeaten 51, may have endured sleepless nights in the past, but this one may just keep him up all night.

I believe punter will return to Aus nailless after this series.

A popular Pakistani pop song that gained immense popularity when it became part of an Indian movie's soundtrack, was blaring to out to Bangladeshi fans as play resumed after lunch. The main line goes something like this: "Ab toh aadat si hai aise jeene mein" ("Now its become a habit to live this way"). If Bangladesh can make it a habit to play their cricket this way, they'll soon be a force to be reckoned with.

Pleae be positive now about BD team. why not follow on? How about an innings win against the mighty aussies. Does it sounds too much dreamy to u? Tigers will show that much roars against kangaro was also dream before the match start. But its became true. First day BD showed a dream start. 2nd day aussie saw horrible dream. We have domninated in every position agianst aussies last 2 days. Their world best pacers, spninners looked very much ordinary against our top order where ours clearly dominated.

'In the real world a kangaroo is no match for the Royal Bengal Tiger. For the past 48 hours, Whatmore's Tigers have maintained that balance of nature. '

This is the real statement about Bangladesh performance so far. It will be really unusual if we end up not winning this match.

Come on Ma'n! We need to stay in earth. Please don't fly. Still 3 more days to go.

What do you find their enforcing follow on and then lost by few runs. It would be mostly impossible for BD to score even 150 on the forth innings. We can't risk ourselv just for the sake of a glory of innings defeat. A defeat is a defeat and that's we should plan to present aus now. Moreover we can't risk our bowlers to get injured bowling 2 innings continiously. I would rather say, make 200+ in BD second innings and ask aus to chase 400+ on a wicket that may become completely unplayable on 4th and 5th day. Our spinners will definitely get a chance to show some tricks.

So, just don't look for a glory of innings win. Rather be realistic about a win. But for the moment, let's see how quickly we can get those remaining 4 wickets.:D

I wish, hope, want Bangladesh to win. No question about that. But we must work very very hard. These Aussies have done it many times (bouncing back) and we did it many times (from great start to collapse) as well.
Although it would be a great thing if we can force them follow on, I think we should bat in that situation. Because, wicket will only get worse from here - if he have bat in the 4th innings it would be very difficult.
Anyway, good luck to Bangladesh. Hopefully, we'll win - big time.

Bangladesh nedd to be very positive in this match to win it, but that does not mean that we have to enforce follow on to be positive, that can be a wrong move which may cost us the match. Think if the aussies manage to score 400 in the second inings and throw us the challenge to score 200 in the 4th innings to win. 200 run against aussie attack in 4th innings particularly in this turning track, the game will be open or more hanging towards the aussies.

Better we score 230-250 in the 2nd innings and let them feel the pressure of 4th innings with a massive target of 430-450 in front. We will be in more control and better chance of winning the match. Friends there is gulf of difference between 3rd innings and 4th innings.

We really need to adopt England's strategy here - Gilchrist has had a year to forget! Basically, all Freddie did was bowl around the wicket, and pitch it about a foot outside off stump, just short of a length. Gilchrist likes having slash outside off stump when given room, but if we can exploit this weakness (9/10 times he will push at it and get caught behind) we will go a long way to - dare I say it - win this match! If we can get a decent lead in the first innings, then game on. But this game could be turned on its head if the Aussies get within 100 runs of our first innings score - we can't become complacent! It could happen if we allow it to!

Go Bangladesh! :)

Gotta get Gilly out early here - he'll put us to the sword if we give him too many loose deliveries!

Gillespie is playing well. Aussies might get past the follow-on target. Rafiq in every over is giving one or two loose delivery.

Although there are still 43 runs to avoid the follow on, but I think that Australia will comfortably avoid the follow on with the help of their tail enders and they can 'easily' get the BD lead down to 100 with Guilchrist playing like an Inzamam-like-innings.

When Habibul Bashar said that we're going to play well in this test match before the start of this match, it must meant that we will play well throughout the match, and now we will see if we can really play well as he said we would.

I said this because upto Day Two or Day Three of a test match, we generally play well and then lose matches after matches by "NOT PLAYING WELL" in our second innings. Now that'd be a shame if we can't 'PLAY WELL' as Bashar said that we will.

Australia batting well and our bowlers are suddenly not looking so dangerous. They're all seemed to be very 'ordinary'.

Aussies might avoid follow on but they will be bundled out within 230-240 if our spinners can bowl in the right channel.
