355/5 against Australia!!
This was one of the greatest days in Bangladesh Cricket.
This was the most strong statement send to the world cricket on the cricket potential in Bangladesh. To mark this day, I demand a special banner in Bangla Cricket, even at least for 24 hours.

If you too want a new short-term Banner for This Surreal Milestone, please express your support.

I respectfully disagree. If we get allout at 400 and Australia score700 on us then our accomplishment in the first inning will be overlooked saying the pitch is dead. So I say lets hold on to our horses untill the whole test is over. Oh btw don't forget our record in the 2nd innings.

No matter if we get all out tomorrow for 356 or 400 and aus score 700 or 1000, one has to agree that today is the best ever day in BD test cricket history. We have now made the statement clear to everyone.

I second you babubangla.

Why people are still in hype with australia when our boys are doing so well. Let's australia play in thier first innings. It won't be easy to score runs on this slow wicket.

If we can score 450+ we will be straight doinating the happenings of this match.

Yes lets wait till the end of the test match and after watching the results we can make a decision whether to do anything babubangla.

Don't know whether this has been already posted. Highest scores on the first day against Australia since 1990 :

407 allout England, Birmingham, 2005
355/5 (???) Bangladesh, Fataullah, 2005-06
353/7 (380) England, Oval 1993
352/7 (405) West Indies, Adelaide, 2005-06
329/4 (366) India, Melbourne, 2003-04
319/7 (373) England, Oval, 2005
318/6 (341) Pakistan, Melbourne, 2004-05
302 allout South Africa, Johannesburg 1997-98

The figure in the bracket is the eventual score of the team.
