Did you see the way Shahadat hit Ponting at the helmet? This was great moment made my day and helped me cope with this defeat.

He fought it out until the very end. He is a great talent, and he oozes of confidence. He has aggression, and is not afraid to stand up, even to the best batsman in the world. This kid is the real deal.

Banging his wicket would have been far more preferable.

This guy Rajib has really some capability. He just need to be little consistent with his line and length. Remember, not many bowlers are able to even brush Ponting's helmet in pacer friendly conditions now a days. Rajib did it in BD dumb wicket. Amazing.

Can anyone post a short clip of that delivery?

...Especially since he was well into his 100, and needed only 1 run to win. Rajib seems to want Ponting as his bunny. Remember his 1st innings dismissal?

yeah we need a video clip of that exchange in the archives... i couldn't stay up past lunch...the toll of a 5 day match something I am not used to! there's wasn't much point left but I guess we went down fighting!

I always thought Rajib is our most dangerous weapon against the Aussies ... good to see that he played up to our expectations. Rasel is a better choice in ODI's ... but in test matches, we need Rajib.

I would love to see Mash, Rasel and Rajib all 3 bowling in the 2nd test ... unfortunately this might not be possible cos we also need to spinners and we cannot afford to go with 5 speacialist bowlers :(

Well, he should have did that in the middle of the game, not at the dead end. But it's nice to see he tried though.

I also didn't see it, and will be nice if someone upload the video.

I am very impressed with Rajib's attitude... he fought till the last ball. The bouncer was amazing... definitely a moment to savour. I was just thinking why isn't anybody talking about that bouncer at BC!!!!

Cricinfo: A flurry of boundaries after the interval took Australia to within three runs of victory and all but sealed the affair, but still Bangladesh refused to cave in. Shahadat sent down three bouncers in a row to Ponting, one of which struck him square in the helmet. Bowler stared down batsman, words were exchanged, and in the end the match concluded in the same in-your-face aggression that had played out for four days.

yeah, i liked the never-give-up attitude. shahadat has really proved me wrong in this test; i'd thought he'd be too expensive for my taste, but looks like he did an ok job. besides, i like his attitude - we need more players like rafique that are not willing to give it away until the last minute. if the hunger is there, everything else can be built in. i think we should give the guy more games to settle down in the international scene.

now we have bowlers that can go full and fast (mashrafe) like the pakis and bowlers that can go shorts and fast (rajib) like the 80s and early 90s west indians. we are comming of age and this kid has really proved his worth. thats what we need, fight till the last breath, get a consolation prize, dont let anyone take our glory. im tellin you in a matter of two years this kid will be feared like the shoaibs and bretts. go rajib!! he actually made me smile at the point of a great morbid situation.

I hope he gives Ponting and the other Australian Batsmen the same treatment from the word go in Chittagong.

early 90's west indians? you must be kidding.

like shoaib and brett? you must be kidding.

I like the aggression. I didnt see the bouncer tho but I taped the game, so I will get to watch it. Shahadat is a good bowler. All he needs now some good coaching and since all time great bowlers like Wasim Akram and Thommo are there, all our pace bowlers shud get their tips. I dont know why BD dont get a good bowling coach.

After the hammering at Lords many thought he would disappear credit to him and credit to selectors. I remember when Harmison first came on the scene people wrote him off now look at him. Shahadat will rise to become BG strike bowler.

This kid got the real aggression of a fast bowler. I liked his last moment attack on Ponting. I am really amazed.

I like rajib and mash's attitude. after long time we have a real pace attack. i want to see them bolwing in pacer friendly condition. i bet they will be pain in the a** for the batsmen

rajib has the pace and he is in his early 20s (according to states he is 19). i think he will gain more pace in few years. if he and mash can stay away from injuries and with russel, we will have a great pace attack for 2007 world cup. and i really like to see shafaq bowling. his avarage in class A cricket is below 13. this is sensetional

I am pretty sure Rajib can bowl well in 85-90 mph. He will be a real asset for Bangladesh when we will be playing in fast and bouncy wickets.
