Never had doubts in Raffy's ability. He is a tremendous fighter and when you think of his humble origins, you can not help but admire his determination and hard work to achieve what he has done in his life. What worries me is his age. Thankfully, other than Masree, our team doesn't have a plethora of injuries. Rafique has been relatively healthy too. At this rate, he shouldn't have any problem playing test cricket for 3 more years. Actually I think it is imperative that he stays for at least a couple of years to groom the younger generation. Enamul and Raz have immensely benefited from being his partner. SLAs are an underappreciated but effective breed. We are blessed in the sense that we have been producing quality SLAs for quite a few years now. I expect Rafiq to pass on the torch to Enam and teach him his arsenal of variations (e.g. arm ball, varying the length, use of the crease etc). It's a pity his batting hasn't flourished lately though.
