Though we've lost the last test match, we've got so many positives in that and among them one item is Mashrafee got 50 wickets in tests. He is the second to achieve this for BD. But I don't know who is the fasted to achieve this. I've searched in cricinfo to get this. But failed. Can anyone please let us know this?

It took Rafique 13 Matches to get to 50 wickets. His average has went up in the past year but that's because of the 2 tests vs England or else his avg would be around 32 plus if had more second innings he'd have around 130+ scalps by now.

Article on Rafique fastest SLA to get to 50 and Martyn conquers the subcontinent? to bad Damien Martyn hasn't figured out Rafique.

i don't think it's him. enamul's got 32, and if he manages to bag 6 per test match, he might make it in 13 tests too.

Enamul will be the next to reach 50... my question is who do you think will end up with highest wkt at the end of their career? Mash, shahadat or enam? I don't have Rafique in there as he is already 35 and most likely, he will reitre in 3-4 years...

It's gonna be either Mash or Enam because, They've got a long way to go, i think more than 10 years. But for Rafique, he is gonna end up his career for his age in the next few years.

One question has always puzzled me. Rafique is 35 years old ! He is by far the best bowler Bangladesh has ever produced. He played in the very first test. So how come he has not played in every test match ? It shows the selectors then were also crazy !!

Rafiq was branded as one day specialist by our very intelligent (???) selectors and headless coach (Mohsin, Ali Zia). He missed a number of test matches.

yeah. instead, they picked enamul haque. well he wasn't that bad in bd standards, but rafique did make it clear later that had he been given more opportunities, he would've developed faster.

Of all the crimes of commission and omission made by our selectors, and there have been many, this was probably the most damaging. We missed him in probably 10 -15 tests. Did he play against the West Indians when they came to Bangladesh ?

He will retire in 3-4 year !! O my god !! He will be at the age of 39 or 40 then !! How many players have got cricket career that long. He should retire after the world cup 2007. He could be the spin bowling coach of under-17 and under-19 or high performance squad.

Mash might have a better strike rate than Rafiq. I want Mash to be our McGrath. While we have our Warne in Rafiq. But Mash is becoming a Gillispi. Who can take 2-3 wickets but not a fiver. Come on guys after 19 matches he has not yet taken a fiver. If you are a strike bowler than u should have it by now . Enam already have it. So enam would be my pick for the highest wicket at the end of their respective career irrespective of Mash's injury. Even Rajib can overtake him
