Now a days some players complains of over work or fatigue and lots of players get tired. Should the number of games to be stopped ? I dont think so. I am always against the idea of playing same 11 players throughout the year. This will leads to decrease in bench strength, less exposure to the bench players, if 3 or 4 players get injured will lead to players with less exposure or quality. Also, if the same players are played throughout the year it will lead to more frustration among the players and fatigue and tiredness. Now a days with 20/20, lots of ODIs, and lots of tests, lots of media and lots of money stopping the number of games played is foolish thing to do.
This the plan I would suggest. First give contract to 25 players to play ODI, 20/20, and test. This should include 8 fast bowlers, 4 spinners, 2 wicketkeepers, and 11 batsman. These players should be rotated in the ODIs, 20/20 and test matches. Suppose if a country plays 35 ODI and 18 test a year, a player should play 28 ODI and 14 tests and the players should be rotated. The bench players should given good opportunities and they should have as many quality and experience as the front players. The main idea is nobody's place should be free. They have to perform and should be healthy competition.
I picked 8 fast bowlers because the fast bowlers should be given 4-6 months break in a year. They should be rotated well. We see lots of fast bowlers getting injuried. They should be given time for rehabitation. If the fast bowlers are rotated well, then the injuries will decrease.
No point decrease the matches, increase the players and bring more and more good players.
Say if there is no rotation and the same 15 are played for 4 to 5 years, lots of good emerging players and lots of talent who may be become superstars in the future will have to wait until the current players get injured or get retired.
Looking for ur suggestions and opinions.
