India sucks now and the person responsible is: Chappell

and now this

I won't be surprised if India loses to West Indies.

Hmmm looks like to me: "Nejer Nak Kete Porer Jatra Bhongo":wow:

The game is almost on! Happy to see Juvraj out. That doubles the chance of WI of winning the match. Good luck!

WI gets no respect from me. If a team loses to SA 5-0, Pak 3-0 at home, and manages only one win against NZ in a 5 match series, that is not a team to be proud of. And guess what, after the World cup there will be no Lara and if others also retire they will certainly will be below us. The only reason they are tied with India is because outside the subcontinent the India is nothing (sorry, they were the king against the 3rd string zim team). Why even this series is close if India is one of the best ODI teams???

It seems Yuvi has developed some form of back-spasm and Munaf Patel is replaced by Sreesanth.

Dravid won the toss and this time elected to bat.

India are no more the favorites as they were before the series.WI's win in 2nd match changed it and yuvraj's absence has taken away any adv India had.He was the man in form. So,today's match is evenly poised.Hoping for a tight match

It is a reasonably a good batting track and the ball is expected to come a bit slowly off the track especially as the day progresses. There is also a bit of variable bounce expected from a certain area on the track.260 to 270 will be a good score.

The current runrate is 5.93 at 30 overs. At this rate 300+ with that many wickets left is feasible. We may see an exciting finish once again since this will be easier to bat in the second innings.

To answer your question be politically correct:

When India is batting, Powar is considered a genuine bowler. However when India is bowling, Powar is considered a 'Markutey' attacking batsman.

Youth and experince needs to be blended properly. But this is More _Chapell jamana!
Kamini, dear, look at the statistics during 'chappell-jamana' and comment on it. It is not entirely bad if you are criticizing your team's bad performance; but it shows the maturity of the critic, if he/she talks with some one-eyed or completely blind ideas.

With this 'too much youth', India have won so many matches in recent times. The two defeats could very easily be two wins. Look at the brighter side of life; not getting confined in your tiny world of thoughts!

I have always been disappointed with the way Indian fans handle defeats. This is just my view!

I don't know about other Indian fans but fans like me take it gracefully and give credit to the opposition if they played well to win it.There is of course dissapointment on losing the match, specially if India has been doing good in the recent matches. If India loses a close match with the top teams it is acceptable but if they lose badly we become annoyed with the team's performance.Poor performance is not acceptable. That's same everywhere.

I am amazed at the attitude of some pro-Ganguly Indian fans who support India's defeat just because Ganguly's not in the team. They sometimes forget that if India wins it is not that Chappel/More or Dravid has won ;it is the victory of the Indian team whom all Indians support.Individual's glory is not greater than the team in a team game like cricket, everybody knows that.
Also, they forget that they are not helping Saurav's case at all by creating a anti-India stance,Saurav-fans who earlier supported him are slowly changing their allegiance to him.Who can forget the booing Indian team got at the Eden gardens against SAfrica few months back just because of his absence.Let them crucify Chappel/Dravid but not team India.I have seen SOME bengali friends here ,who simply lost interest in India's wins just because Ganguly is not in the team and surprisingly they love it when India loses.Of course there are also OTHER bengali friends who still go ecstatic when India wins.
I am not going into the debate whether Ganguly deserves a place in the team or not,Who is responsible for Ganguli's ouster etc.. it's a never ending debate and will go on,but spare a thought about Ganguly's thinning fan support.

india was 30 runs short in their innings and that eventually cost them the game.... WI has a very good batting lineup eventhough most of time they don't come through... good to see players like sarwan and gayle scoring runs because they are quality players... Also Lara is handling captaincy relatively well this time around and definately deserve some credit... India missed Yuvi badly...

India missed Yuvraj, Sachin, Laxman, Kumble.....and some others.

Too much youth in the side right now!
They have beaten Pakistan and England but now losing to a weaker WI!

Youth and experince needs to be blended properly. But this is More _Chapell jamana!
I am with Kamini on this one. I know Chappel is experimenting to get the right players ready for the WC, but only to have 5 specialist batsmen in the team is a management problem (Chappel's problem). Seems like he is adament to test his theories and stict to it. India were poised to score 260+ easy. When Dhoni was out the wheels fell of. They needed the 6th batsmen dearly.

If one carefully analyzes the match what did India gain from this one? Nothing. The two they were calling for heads, performed and the rest Chappel favorites did basically nothing. The players now have doubt that if they can win the series or not. As of when they were flying from India they thought this was a vacation tour winning easily 4-1 or 5-0. WI have now new found confidence. We saw the same problem against Pakistan trying to have too many bowlers and not enough batsmen.

It seems Chappel is trying to solve India's long term problem rather than the short term issues as winning a series at WI in few decades.

I never liked the idea of playing only five batsman... you must have six batsmen in odis.... one or two of them should be good enough to fill in for 10 overs... specially when you don't have batsmen like sachin or yuvraj in the lineup, you have to go with six batsmen

they should have include Robin uthapa in place of venu gopal rao. uthapa is very solid and he could open instead of dravid, poor team selection and munaf is better than sreeshanth
