agree with u man! a result is almost certain...Sri Lank's batting have let them down. They over rely on a few players Dilshan, Sangakarra and Jayawadene..if these three dont perform, then every one else doesnt.

Its good to see Mura doing well though...

Without the south african England would have been in real trouble. Anyways, good knock by KP. Murali was the man for SL. England enjoying a lead of 153. By the way the last 5 wickets fell in 5 runs. yep. 290/5 and then 295 allout.

I wonder why there were some saying this is a batting track before the match. That means the batsmen are not test calibre players?? Going for too many shots?? Too many ODIs and 20/20 to blame??? Great!! Bangladesh is not alone in this category.

Second innings for SL is already on its way. And Hoggard is back at his best. And this is only the second day :) . Getting Tharanga on the first ball caught behind. He has a total of 0 runs in two innings. What good a century means in a practice match when you get two ducks in the real one? SL 12/1. Grrrr!!!!

SL in trouble. 48/3 now. Minimum overs remaining 18. If they can somehow see the day off without losing any wickets may be they will have a chance to make England bat again. Good bowling by the English squad.

opps!!! A scare!!

86/4 end of the day. still 68 runs short to avoid innings defeat a tall task for sure. But we have Vass and Maharoof coming so a resistance should be in the cards. Where is the rain?

1st day 13 wickets fell, 2nd day 11 wickets fell, batting paradise it is.

Murali has a very small total to defend. If it was just around 150, the magician could have turned the match to Srilanka's way.

Have to Murali is the best bowler ever (according to me ..) .Warne is no where close to him .,Warne has other greats to support him around (Mag ..) etc but Murali is moreorless on his own.

Hats off to Murali .

Dissapointed with the result though , I thought SL would pull something off ..

if the target was 150 to 160, it could have been a different scenerio

Yah ..wish Dilshan could last a bit longer .Both he and Vandort almost did the the work .Wish SL pull the next one off .They need the other bowlers to fire especially in the first Innings .

dilshan had a close decision and vandort played really well but he didn't get any support from others

not a murali fan at all - actually i dislike him quite a bit - but there is absolutely no doubt that he is a better bowler than shane warne. comparing the 2 should be cricketing sacrilege. warne is not worthy to wipe muralis rear after the toilet.

plus he doesn't have the character issues of warne...but then again warne makes mike tyson seem like a mere juvenile delinquent.

murali and vaas were sir lanka's bowling for probably the better part of the last decade. and now over the last year vaas hasn't done crap, which means sri lanka have just murali.

sri lanka could prolly be a higher ranked team if they went in with 9 batsman, a keeper, and murali. thats all the bowling power they got anyways.

I agree, i think they will be a higher ranked team if they went in with 9 batsmen, 2 bowlers. The lankans pace department is very poor, imo its on a par with Bangladesh, some would say BD's is better. Their i dont deny is good, but fast bowling wise, they really need someone to replace vaas and malinga just chucks pies with no control what so ever and the others lack penetration.
