Bangladesh golfers clinch SAARC men's crown

Bangladesh men's team emerged champions in the 8th SAARC Golf Championship which concluded in Lahore on Sunday.

It was the first time Bangladeshi golfers brought laurel from the regional tournament, where India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and hosts Pakistan participated from December 19-22.

Siddikur Rahman claimed the individual championship trophy while his teammate Milon Ahmed bagged the 'hole in one' trophy. The other member of the men's team was Mohammed Shahid. Fatema Matiur of women's team, which took part in the competition for the first time, won the 'nearest to pin' trophy. The other member was Shaheen Khan.
