those of you with sky will be familiar with this league..skysports at the start of 2006 started a sixes league where they counted the most number of sixes hit by international batsmen in test cricket, one day international and 20/20 international..

1st place with 37 sixes was chris gayle, 2nd was jayusuriya with 36, followed by dhoni, but the main reason i put this in the Bangladesh cricket one, is cos aftab ahmed of bangladesh came 4th! with 29 sixes. which is a great achievement having faced fewer deliveries than those mentioned in the list, due to lack of tests..

If one considers ball faced and sixes hit, then Aftab becomes 2nd. Much better than the joint 4th position. :) Afridi is one.

29 sixes off 994 balls is really good in comparison. He would be easily 2nd had he played more balls. Keep it up Aftab!

No matter what teams he played those against, the most exciting part is seeing some Bangladeshi name in the top part of the list. I hope the tigers can learn from these players, and do even better.

Good to see our Aftab in the list...In the coming here I would rather hope that he will concentrate more on prolonging his innings than hitting sixes though.

And, another six specialist will arrive soon.Nadif Chowdhury.

I wish they had a list that had the most singles taken with the most amount of balls played, maybe just for ODI I'd like to see who would be on that list.

Just a funny thought (I guess)...but if Mashrafee is given enough opportunities, he could beat these guys by miles I guess. The way he smashes...incredible sometimes.

More importantly, only 85% of his runs came from non sixers, by far the worst in international cricket.
