Hold your horses. You judge a person's performance by one game only??
In that case, Ash Aftab can't stay in the team then. lol, Tushar would be thrilled.

At first I thought that Sharif is a goner - even though he took 1 wicket.

However, reading Cricinfo's match report, it seems to me that the only wicket that Sharif took today - Sibanda's wicket - it was the turning point of the match.

Of course I can't say for certain that Mashrafee or Tapash could have taken Sibanda's wicket. But, there's still real potential there like before - especially for our future and for test cricket.

Dear Lance,

Please spare us from going to different threads to find out who you think should be dropped.

you can just open a thread that says this X number of player should be dropped after game A, this Y number after game B and so on.

sharif gave away 16 off his first over after 5 years on the sidelines, then gives up just 37 in his next 9...i'd say he bowled tightly afterwards, more so than tapash.

09-February-2007 <table class="tablestyle" id="Table3" style="border-collapse: collapse;" bordercolordark="#000080" bordercolorlight="#006699" align="right" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="120"> <tbody><tr> <td>http://www.tigercricket.com/Image/
</td> </tr> </tbody></table> Mohammad Sharif has become the latest victim of <st1:country-region><st1>Bangladesh</st1></st1:country-region>’s Zimbabwean injury curse.<o></o>
<o></o>
The 21-year-old pace bowling all-rounder was unable to deliver the final ball of his 10th over in Bangladesh’s exciting 14-run win in the 3rd ODI of the Croco Motors series at Harare today (Friday) as he had to hobble off the field with a thigh strain. Team management sources confirmed that Sharif, who was playing his first game in five years for the Tigers will miss tomorrow’s fourth and final match of the series.<o></o>
<o></o>
Sharif’s injury means <st1:country-region><st1>Bangladesh</st1></st1:country-region> have only 13 fit players to choose from for tomorrow’s game with veteran Mohammad Rafique already out of reckoning because of a badly bruised nose.<o></o>
<o></o>
On a positive note the Tigers would be heartened by a fantastic effort in the field which enabled them to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. With <st1:country-region><st1>Zimbabwe</st1></st1:country-region> cruising along at 124/2 in the 28th over, Vusi Sibanda on a solid 64 thought he had cleared Habibul Bashar at mid on. But the team’s most senior member reportedly flung himself and caught a one-handed blinder which was described as ‘astonishing’ by Tigers’ assistant coach and fielding specialist Mohammad Salahuddin. That catch changed the complexion of the match. <o></o>
<o></o>
The ground fielding was electric at times with Shakib Al Hasan impenetrable inside the circle. He effected two out of the four run outs in the Zimbabwean innings.<o></o>
<o></o>
Another ploy worked wonders for <st1:country-region><st1>Bangladesh</st1></st1:country-region>. Coach Dav Whatmore’s idea of sending Mushfiqur Rahim at number five ahead of Bashar and Mohammad Ashraful with the side struggling at 36/3 in the ninth over was a clincher. <o></o>
<o></o>
It is a fact which should have been by now well revised and implanted in the Bangladeshi top order that teams batting first should expect movement and bounce for pacemen early on in Harare. The key here is keeping wickets in hand till the first 15 overs are out of the way. <st1:country-region><st1>Bangladesh</st1></st1:country-region> had lost three wickets to adventurous shots – a flash outside the off (Tamim Iqbal), an attempted hook (Aftab Ahmed) and a casual flick (Shakib) – and another strokemaker might not have managed to keep the head down and consolidate.<o></o>
<o></o>
Mushfique’s fighting qualities and his ability to play according to the pulse of the match made him the right man for that situation. His stand of exactly 100 in 22 overs with man of the match Shahriar Nafees Ahmed proved decisive in the end.Source: http://www.tigercricket.com/viewNews.aspx?newsID=273

Neither Taposh nor Sahrif should be playing in the team. Rasel and Rajib should have been given more match pracitice before WC. I dont understand what the selectors see in Taposh??.. TO me.. he is just not good enough at IC level.

Why you guys are against Taposh. Today his runs made the difference between win and losing a match. Give the guy credit that he deserves.

Lance_klusener: Apnar eto budhi, raate ghumanor shomoy kothay rakhen bolen to? Ami parle ektu churi kore niye jeteam!!!

Anyway...the problem, as you can see, is about our patience. Nothing else. It has become a fashion these days that after every match, 11 new threads will be opened to criticize the 11 players in the team, and to talk about how these players could be replaced, reorganized, and re-worked on. Relax man...ghuta dawar por shob kichu settle down korbar jonno time lagay...time howar aage nara dile ghuta maira labh ki hoilo?
