NZ who don't have an impressive record overseas will face the wrath of Tigers.

Chances are good that we will get a dumped pitch tomorrow. Letting Rasel open with Mash may be a good idea, Shahadat/Tapash can come as the first change bowler.

They will probably be playing all 12 players as it is a list-A match and not an odi. Others teams are doing that today.

Actually, other team are playing 13 players per side in warm up matches, I am curious why Bangladesh only selected 12 !

Actually, warm-up matches are not even list-A matches, they don't have any statistical value at all. They are what they are called- just warm-ups. In a list-A match, you can't have more than eleven players per side

About number of players in practice matches, teams can field as many players they want (although, there can't be more than eleven fielders at a time or more than ten wickets) based on matual agreements.

Finally, it's time for a reality check. Playing quality opposition will lift your standards. Playing poor sides has lowered ours. This will be our only benchmark before the show begins. I would love to see our side bat the full 50 overs.

According to prothom alo

Both Rafique and SN are out of the squad.

And guess what, they kept Rajin out of the squad as well. Meaning, Spitty, guess who is opening with Tamim Iqbal.

Why they did not try Rajin instead of JO is beyond me.

Anyway, this is going to be a hint of reality after a long time. Playing ZIM/Kenya/Canada/Bermuda, if any of the players had any complacency build in, they will be be shaved off tomorrow. I just hope, we had one more quality opponent before the WC.

For the record, after SL NZ is our nemesis. We never had a good game against them except for the Aftab magic that made a dead game alive. Its time we show ourselves, what we are capable of.

If tamim fails, then Hablu's best friend JO will replace him.

Anyways, i was hoping that we find a link for radio coverage. Cricinfo's coverage for the warmup matches are horrible

I thought a full-strength BD team will face the NZ and pull something good out of the match! Anyway, it seems symptoms are not indicating so. I hope there wont be any demoralizing event at the end................Yes, we should have another practice match aginst a strong opponent before Mar17th.

According to prothom alo

Both Rafique and SN are out of the squad.

And guess what, they kept Rajin out of the squad as well.
I think that was a mistake, DW-Faruque-Bashar probably did not know that teams are playing with 13 players per side in warm-up matches. So, fingers crossed, we may still see Rajin to bat tomorrow. I will personally like to see all three- Rajin, JO, and Tamim, are vying for the second opener spot.

Still to figure out:
1. Who will open with SN
2. Who will open with Mashree
3. Even the 1st change in bowler to bowl within the Power Play: Rajjak/Aftab (Shahadat is more erratic if bowls his second spell within the 1st 20 overs)
4. Mushi has lot to improve behind the wicket......

Hope BD think tank would get a clue before Mar17. I pray for Tamim's luck....once he will get the run....he will get going ...but ....will it happen tomorrow?

Shahriar Nafees and Rafique are out for tomorrow's game and it actually may be a blessing in disguise. SN is out and that allows us to play our three openers. I know Rajin is already out for tomorrow's game but since they can play upto 13 players, I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be tried tomorrow. Again, Rafique is out and that allows us to try all four pacers. Lets see how Tapash and Rasel perform.

Funny that I am quoting myself ... :p but I thought this would be useful here:

I checked the link last night and CBC Radio 98.1 (http://www.surfmusic.de/radio-station/cbc-radio-98-1,2211.html) seemed to broadcast the England match commentary. However, I listened only for a few minutes and during that time it was music and commentary mixed stuff ... like one second there was music and the next it was commentary and so on ... Not sure if it will be fixed today or if there will be live broadcast, by maybe its worth a shot.

N.B. the link above will open a pop-up window with the player.

Why they did not try Rajin instead of JO is beyond me.
Anyway, this is going to be a hint of reality after a long time.

javed will pull off a 40 run 200 ball innings before he is told that its a one day match

why didnt they choose rajin?why JO is in da team!!!??

You guys may be waiting for a surprise. I think JO is gonna make his position as SN's partner permanent after todays match. :p

U mean, competition of scoring at slower rates? ;)

Actaully, I am kind of shocked at the way Tamim played in last few matches. It's not because of his low scores; bur because of his playing style. He is there to attack the bowlers and there is no need to change his style. He may fail many times; but once he succeeds, he earns the match for us. Now switching to the 'over-cautious' style, he can not play his natural game and there is all the chances that he becomes a complete failure.

Last I checked the score was New Zealand 4/1 0.2 overs Vincent bowled Mortaza at www.tigercricket.com (http://www.tigercricket.com). After that server is not responding. cricinfo in my opinion is deliberately not listing Bangladesh versus New Zealand. Any idea whether we can get any audio commentary on any online radio station?

Thanks in advance

There is no reason to be excited at New Zealand's score - South Africa scored only 192 runs, and yet beat Ireland.

Besides, New Zealand has most of the times collapsed at the top against us only to score bigger partnership down at the bottom.

P.S. Lets not forget a certain keeper whose name starts with an 'M'.

India 31/0 after 5 overs. Very ordinery Dutch attack but Indians are taking it easy.

Thats a great start.
Should boost our confidence.......

Now just get 2 more out in next 10 overs, then the game is ours - if our batsmen click.

NZ doesn't have any tail. As far as I know, all of their 11 are good batsman
