Match gonna start less than 10 hours, I'm gonna look for a BBC radio link that should give us some updates, cricketeurope will cover the match I'm 100% sure so no we don't have to worry about Tigercricket.

I hope we can bat first and up a 330 type score, we've score 300 on Scotland before and that was with mehrab jr playing slower than JO :) I'm pretty sure we'll see the WC XI for the India match

Just two minutes ago I was wondering about the match thread...coz it wasn't there :)

Good one cricman. Good thing that CricInfo isn't included

Inshallah, hoping for a great win. I hope BD bats first, and makes use of the full 50 overs in assessing the pitch conditions.

Scotsman : Drinnen urges Scottish batsmen to take the fight to Bangladesh (http://sport.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=366912007)

PETER Drinnen wants more of the same from his bowlers - and a lot better from his batsmen - to give Scotland a chance of beating Bangladesh in their second World Cup warm-up match in Barbados today.

Coach Drinnen admits Scotland's batsmen performed below the required standard in Monday's landslide defeat against Sri Lanka at the 3Ws Oval.

But he was happy with bowlers who made Sri Lanka work for a total of 294 for seven, and he believes that if Scotland do as well again in the field that will be as much as he can ask on that score.

I'm more concerned about them flying too high in the sky while playing against India and SL. Past experiences tell me that the team has a tendency of flying high after good performances. Just worried about that...otherwise, with the same performance, a win against India or SL shouldn't be called just a "fluke" or an "upset". Those are just terms to get around the insult :)

We should rest Mashrafe.

This is the final warmup before the big one, No resting any body that gonna play March 17th. Injury's are a part of the game if he gets hurt, i hope nobody second guesses managment. Let Him Bowl 6-8 overs and lets Rajib do the other 3

then some of out bc members willl be yelling at bashar.... they will be saying like he doesnt know the captaincy.. he didnt let mash finish his qouta..

but i think 5-6 overs for mash is enough.. and we need to give shahadat some overs to prove him...

That's the spirit mate . To win the world cup is not our aim to play the good cricket & show the fight to get to the top 6 should be our aim .

Hope you keep it up , doesn't matter whatever the results are !!!!!!!

Bangladesh Aim To Keep Up Winning Run

Bangladesh Aim To Keep Up Winning Run

Buoyed by a stunning two-wicket victory over New Zealand, Bangladesh will be confident of finishing their World Cup preparations undefeated when they face Scotland in a warm-up match on Thursday.

The sub-continent team beat the Kiwis thanks to a stunning all round display by tail-ender Mashrafe Mortaza, who took four wickets before plundering three sixes in a whirlwind 30 from 14 balls to overhaul New Zealand's total of 226.

Along with Bangladesh, Zimbabwe will be the only other recognised team in action on Thursday as the six minor nations in the tournament temporarily take centre stage.

Zimbabwe face tournament debutants Bermuda in St Vincent after both sides were beaten heavily but showed some fleeting promise against Australia and England respectively.

CULT STATUS

All eyes will be on burly Bermudan spinner Dwayne Leverock, who has almost achieved cult status here after taking two for 32 against England despite his 19-stone frame.

Ireland, also playing in their first World Cup, will come up against Canada in Trinidad while 2003 semi-finalists Kenya should be able to come out on top against the Netherlands in Jamaica.

Ireland, who had South Africa in all sorts of trouble before their challenge eventually petered out on Monday, and Canada will both be hoping to justify the presence of a record six non-test playing nations at this year's cricketing extravaganza.

"While we have the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup and to play in it we will do so," Canada coach Andy Pick told Reuters.

"I think some people are going to be surprised by the so-called minnows this time.

"The average scores of the associate teams are going up every time they play a full member and we're batting for longer and occupying the crease for more overs.

"Our performances are improving all the time and I think we'll see a marked improvement this time compared to the last World Cup."

Keeping Shahadat out is a bad decision. It should have been Tapash and Rajin out of the 13 as it's difficult to leave JO out after his 45 in the last match.

Why did Bangladesh won the toss and decided to field first? I thought they needed some batting practice.
our batting lineup has been decided already. our bowling lineup has been decided already. Everything is set. This game is just a warmup game. The main purpose of this game is to get out with a win and no injuries. We are a better team chasing the minnows down. I am happy bd elected to field first. The players who need batting practice will get their chances. AKA Tamim and SN.

Well I see it from a different point of view. If you bat first, you allow the whole team to have a good warmup practice. See what all other big teams doing. Batting first, using the whole 50 overs and then letting their bowlers finish it off. We may be a better team chasing against minnows but we wouldn't be playing any minnows in World cup. Not in the first two games. The way I see it, you do well what you do well. Now try to fix what you don't do well.

Man the spinners are spinning the heads of the Scotsman. Atleast today if the innings is short then everyone can relax at the beach.

Oh, it is early days yet - disappointing start though - our batting had been so good in Kenya too!

I think that Scotland is among the three strongest associate countries in this world cup. This match could yet prove to be a rough ride for us. Playing the two top ranked teams in the WC sure would be exhilerating for the team and the country.

In last match NZ was even bad at this point than todays Scots. Lets see how far they can go.

Over the last few matches enough batting practice is done. Bashar wanted win it as convincingly as possible.

West Indian wickets are helping seamers in early morning.

I agree. We should've batted first. Subcontinental teams wouldn't have much trouble (compared to the Scotts or Kiwis) playing Rafiq or Razzaq, so I hope these successes don't give us false hope or complacency.

Also, since there was no way to watch thw BD-NZ match live, Indians or Sri Lankans didn't have a chance to see our bowling tricks on those pitches. I fear that they are (at least some of their observers) all over the field today, and we are probably giving out too much of our "secrets".

It is sad that bangladeshis being so crazy about cricket did not do much to give us live update of our matches. It feels like that the BD team is playing cricket for the players only, what good it is that there is a match going on and the fans cannot watch or follow it?
