Are you sure about that Carte? Acronyms are usually in upper case (like MSN and ICQ). So Aim really should have been AIM.

The first time I came accross the Aim on the board - I was disgusted, I had AOL for 15 days and those were some of the worse internet days of my life. I was much happier with my reliable local service.

I thought it stood for aol instant messenger but Fab may have a point.
