guys ..lets discuss our strenth and weaknesses b4 the s8 matches

our main strenth: our left arm spinners.-they will play a major role in wi pitches.we need to think about shahdat once again bcoz rasels pace is not enough to create threat!
our weekness:- definitely our batting.and in addition to that,3 of the best batsmen r not performing..tameem ,sn and aftab. S.nafees is realy a minnow basher, tameem is too aggresive, and aftab think these bowlers r from local schools of chittagong..
:waiting: .so guys continue

We need to play Shahadat. Although, we need to fix our death bowling more than anything else.

Our ability to bat against real pace such as Tait is a problem as we struggle against similar bowlers such as Malinga.

We must stick with the current batting line up as it is. No more changes to it!

Strength : Mashrafe(our main strike bowler) but not consistence with his raw pace !!! :( The three left arm bowlers specially Razzak and Rafique. Our fielding is pretty good too.

Weakness: Lack of stamina and batting. Either S Nafees or T Iqbal should click each on every macthes. They should look the ball not the bowler like they did against India. Hope to see a good knock by Nafees against Australia. ;)

Bangladesh pace bowling and batting performance were not very good against Bermuda. They should have done better than that. S Mukuddem (http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/bermuda/content/current/player/23755.html) did better job than Mahrafe and Rasel. Any way win is win !!! :)

Strenghts: Mashrafee (his early breakthroughs are crucial), Rafique and Razzaq(maintaining pressure in the middle overs). Nafees (althought out of form), Mushfiq and Sakib holding the innings together with timely accelaration.

Weakness: No proper batsman to accelarate/guide in the finishing overs. Rafique and Mash are sloggers. And that is why Aftab is required at 7 rather than 4. Otherwise the only real problem overall consistency.

Pivotal areas: Syed Rasel's support to Mashrafee (no need of wickets but just the pressure. His ideal performance would be 10 overs with an econ of 3/3.5). Sakib's performance as the third spinner (potenially can be the biigest strength or weakness and now that we play sides like Aus, Eng etc it can prove the biggest strength, remember Brad Hogg against SA he turned he game. Tamim at the start of the innings. Ash and Bashar in the middle and performance in the slog overs.

I dont think we have any strenghts, atleast not yet! We are just average in every category. Name one thing we do better than atleast 3 top eight teams.....

The only thing i believe we CAN be consistent on is Fielding because we're very small and quick.

don't discuss too many weakness here! other people are watching these threads.
but we can learn something from India to defeat WI. Wicket keeping is better than KM.

Strengths: Fearless youths Tamim-Sakib-Mushfiq, we have nothing to loose except for against Ireland. Ash has improved. I still believe in Nafees; he needs to move his feet a little more. A consistent performer in Sakib; left arm troika
Weaknesses: no 2nd pacer (feed Rasel more so someday he can be a Nathan Bracken!). Top order still uncomfortable with genuine pace.

Dont worry mate. After his show against india and NZ, the only guy they would even consider dropping is nafees. But i say we keep the same side.

Strengths: Mashrafee for early break throughs. Razzaq and Rafique for tight left arm bowling and taking wickets. Potential fielding side. Fearless batting approach against any team. A well mix of good hitters and conventional batters in the batting line up.

Weaknesses: Bashar's off form in the middle order and his reactive captaining strategy rather than a proactive. Missing a sixth bowler, specially a pacer. What if Syed Rasel or Saqib have a bad game? Top order batting is not experienced enough to face extreme pace like Tait, Malinga, Lawson, Ntini, Bond etc. They need to keep their head cool.

On BD's day they can take on anybody. But we always have to wish for a day like that. Hopefully, it'll be repaeted regularly from now on.

Wise man say, "Only fools rush in." We are all making judgements on who is in form and who is not etc. Mukuddum is better than Mash etc.

Let SN set in. Watch mukuddums performance against SL. We are still in a learning process. You all expect our team to be the best in the world already. Keep your feet in the ground.

Well , I just said that S Mukuddem did better job than Mashrafe and Rasel with his gentle pace but if Mashrafe bowl as same as he bowled against India at the pace of 86-89 mph consistently with good line and length then Mukuddum is not even close to Mashrafe.

Yes sir! He did get more wickets (bold) on that same day and had swings going in both ways. He was a little expensive a little wayward too (underlined). I'd take our boys over Mukuddem any day of the week.

In my opinion when Bermuda came into bowling the weather condition got much favorable for bowlers and pitch was acting much more unpredictable then our boys bowled in the morning, so the guy Mukkuddum who is not even world class bowler by favor of the pitch and climate his ball was swinging more then what McGrath and Akram could do on a normal day. Any other day he would be killed by our batsmen I believe.
