Quite interestingly the order is quite like the order of my favourite players, but probably with mashrafee and aftab higher than javed omar. And guys, have a look at Mashrafe... hehehe.... I feel like an astrologer:D

The formatting is fine on my screen - which players are you having problems with? I am viewing this on 1280x1024.

What a perf by Aftab. Mashrafee scored more runs than Bashar and has higher avg than Aftab and close with Tamim. Maybe we should turn Aftab into a bowler and Mashrafee into a batsman, lol.

This is me restating the obvious: Shahriar Nafees - GIGANTIC FLOP!

* if you take our top 5 bowlers and look at their run rates you can see that on an average we'll give up 220 runs per 50 overs which is absolutely amazing for a new team like us.
* It also means if we can find batsmen who can score 220 runs/50 overs we will win about half our games.
* Not too long ago, when our team was far inferior, we used to score 190-200 runs on a consistent basis.
* Why can't we find some real batsmen who can do that? How far are we?

This world cup shows the real improvement in the bowling line up of Bangladesh and is comparable with any top team.

Batting remains mysterious. Similar improvement in batting would have defnitely sealed a semi-final spot which is still a far cry.

There is nothing mysterious about our batting. They are "jodi laiga jai" type of batsmen. Our selectors understood it very well and thats why they gambled with hackers with no batting talent like "Tamim", and won. Law of average always catches up to them. Who cares about long term players or law of average when all they needed was one crucial win on a given day.

Our only path was to gamble and the selectors won.

yeah our batting is horrible. Our batsman are like Weak chess programs taking on Stronger programs. On a given day they can click but very difficult to do it consistently.

How could you forget to highlight Aftab's stat?

Those are three need to rest at least next series. I am sure the replacement will be better than what they have posted.

By the way, Oz, I am also having problem with the table alignment.

Players 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14 's stat is shifted a row to the right. (batting)
headings, players 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13's have shifted a row to the right (Bowing)

I changed the resolution but didn't fix the problem.

May be Nafis can fix this.

* Not too long ago, when our team was far inferior, we used to score 190-200 runs on a consistent basis.
Back then the opposition teams regularly scored around 300 against us, and we would score some meaningless runs in reply (the opposition didn't mind giving away few runs when there was no doubt about the result of the match)

Good point. With no contest, they used to let their part time bowlers enjoy the gig, and our tail enders thrived.

Given the reputation of Whatmore being a coach specialising in batting, it seems odd. But ahain out players are erratic.
