Good to see SN is among the runs..
hope he can recover his bad patch in this series...

i thought the pitch was supposed to be a batting paradise... how can they only make 200 odd runs... and that even playing their own bowlers....
i hope our batsman play better during the real match...

pretty pathetic batting performance again, I just don't know what the hell is wrong with our batting, it's just not clicking and there seems to be a consistent problem which is so frustrating to see. Our batsmen are failing all the time.... Arghhhh

well that is my concern... our bowlers have done pretty good throughout the world cup... its our batsmen who has never been consistent...

Looks like BD red had an amazing start. Very disappointed to see they didnt capitalise on it. Im pretty sure the bowling was nothing extraordinary. Just pathetic batting in a batting paradise. As Aftab was the best bowler of the match, you can be rest assured of that...

My objection against SN is that he a had very easy bowling attack to deal with (Shahadat-Farhad-Aftab-Sakib-Nipu. Remind you Rajib is non threatening on slow tracks.) and a low score to chase. All he had to do was to stick around and a good score would automatically come his way. Unfortunately, he failed.
JO and Tamim, on the other hand, had to face Mash-Rasel as well as Razzak-Rafique. They managed to survive those two pacers and made good scores.

but he built partnership with tamim. if tamim gets going, all javed needs to do is hang around and give him the strike. but javed failed to rotate strikes and thats been the problem for him.

Yes all Javed needs to do is rotate strikes and build a partnership as well as keeping a good runrate because of Tamim!!!!
Tamim could take care of the RR and if both of them can do that then I think we will get off to a great start!! But please please do not waste the balls!!!

To counter it, everyone clearly noticed that the pitch was not bat friendly on the second innings due to it balls keeping very low plus Im rajin wasnt one of the best opening partners either.

Does not SN has a reputation that he can adjust well to low-slow wickets ? 24 ball 29 says he was having an easy time against a relatively weak bowling side (like he always does), yet he failed to stick around long enough for a good score.

Get your facts right, Rajin batted at #6. Also, there was no pressure on SN to score quick runs.
Bangladesh Red XI: 207-7 in 50 overs (Javed 46, Tamim 48, Aftab 26, Shakib 7, Ashraful 0, Bashar 9, Forhad 21, Mashud 25 not out, Nafis 7, Khademul 1 not out, extras 17; Razzak 1-43, Rafique 3-31).
Bangladesh Green XI: 196 all out in 49 overs (Shahriar 29, Zunaed 1, Sadat 23, Tushar 20, Mushfiqur 9, Rajin 25, Mashrafe 49, Rafique 10, Kapali 18, Razzak 2, Rasel 0 not out, extras 10; Shahadat 3-51, Farhad 1-29, Aftab 3-28, Shakib 1-28).<!-- / message -->

.
ya...SN couldnt stick around which he should hav done. But what happened even though JO sticked around with 89 balls and the total is 207. may be we will say that its middle order's fault they couldnt capitalize the opening partnership's 105. But when he was well set, even then he couldnt pace his innings. I guess he was there atleast till 30 overs, and his score is 46... sorry cant see him in a team which needs to show guts and aggression to wreck India.

The point is JO, with all his limitation, can stick around long enough to give his team a sound start (far better than disastrous starts SN gives us). Also, I say it once again - he was facing some of the most economic bowlers in the world, very unlike the bowlers SN faced.
If you want to see India wrecked, the middle order has to deliver, there is no option for that (no, we are not Australia yet and we don't have any Gilly or Hydo).

I second this. Considering that our top order includes Bashu bhai, and the 2 openers, our middle order HAS to perform. No ifs and buts.

I will consider it a sound start when our openers atleast play a knock of around 30 in 40-45 balls... not 46 in 89 balls... if they stay longer they have to pace up. If JO plays, and tamim still there, I would prefer to see JO getting out around 12-13 overs... i know its a pathetic comment from a fan to desire to see his player getting out... but thats fact.. we know his style.. blocking.. couple of 4s and blocking.. and it continues...
