9.5 Malinga to Shahriar Nafees, no run, short ball very wide outside the off stump, Nafees reaches out for it and plays a wild slash but doesn't make contact, needless shot

what is wrong with nafees why he doin this...RR is well over 4

My assesment of the situation and what is to come in the next few days:

Omar is on fire,
Situation is not dire,
Will he move up higher?
Mashud should retire,
Murali will not get a 5fer.
Tigers should not tire!

10.4 Vaas to Javed Omar, no run, full ball pitching outside off stump and moving away from Omar, inviting the drive, similar ball to the one that Omar was dismissed by in the first innings, this time he lets it go again

Sohel
June 27, 2007, 12:54 AM
The only way to play Murali is to accurately judge the flight and attack him down the crease. The closer you stay in the crease, the better your chances of getting LBW-ed, stumped, edged or bowled ... what a nightmare. Dilhara in to bowl. Abir should stay away from the offside slash.

That's drinks on the third day. Bangladesh have added 63 runs in the first hour without loss. Nafees's approach against Murali has been fascinating. He's looked to take him on at every opportunity. It'll be interesting to see if he can carry on this way. Fernando's just begun his spell and bowled a testing first over. Bangladesh will have to be wary of him too.

I'm watching the match on Ten Sports. He was non-committal in his footwork while hitting the ball hard, and therefore low enough for Murali to catch it with extreme ease. Out-thought and out-classed by a Master he's not technically sound enough to dis like that ... impetuous.

This is a persistent problem that this guy has. He just doesn't seem to realize the importance of playing bowlers like Murali, Kumble, etc off the front foot. He did get stranded plumb in front of the stumps quite a few times playing off the back foot.
