45.2 Abdur Razzak to Dravid, 1 run, plays it back towards silly mid on, attempts a cheeky single, Abdur Razzak tries to hurl down the stumps at the bowler's end, he misses. Had he hit, Dravid would have been headed back

Just came from school...only managed to see last 1.2 overs...if the pitch is a batting paradise then i wont mind that India scored 284...thats a kinda score thats average in ODIS these days...300+ scores have been routine scores by good teams... will be intresting to see how Bangladesh chases...we are capable of doing it undoubtedly

Well the only thing that Bangladesh can count on is the home support and familiarity with the field. Not a good last over. Ever heard of the blockhole Mashrafe???!!!

I think you missed the delivery when he got powar out...i am pretty sure he would have heard of blockhole..since he frickin bowled a delivery into blockhole...:(

Guyz...keep in mind, in the first game we scored 250 in 47 overs and we had a few wickets in hand towards the last 10 overs and also we didnt have Masrafe the slogger... and that was after a very slow beginning with Omar...

12 extra balls and Similar batting will get us there.....

IMO, 285 is still chasable.

We must send Aftab in one down and Bashar should be held back to number 7 if not 8.

IMO it should be Ashraful to be send one down...he has it to play a big innings...not sure how Aftab will react by being sent at 3...he will try hitting every ball...just hope our batsmen do it

Hmm... what are the positives so far ?

We didn't let India score 300.
With Mashrafe back, we managed to increase total no. of wickets taken to 8.

It is going to be VERY difficult for us to chase 285. Our highest ODI score is 275 vs WI some years ago but then we had a lot of different players.

Can our new players do it?

Look at the RRR. only 5.82 . Singles off every ball will easily get us home.

It should be someone who's consistent, and can keep scoring. Ashraful doesn't suit for 1 down...coz he never suited for that spot anyway. I would rather send in Aftab at 1 down, Sakib at 2 down, and Ashraful at 3 down. 4 down will be Mushfiq. Then Mashrafee, followed by Rafiq, Razzak, and Rasel. Finally (I hope it doesn't come to this wicket)...Bashar can come and finish off the game like a korbanir goru.

In reality,, 285 is within reach. But in practicaly, it probably isnt. Now, can we be surprised? I will watch for 10 overs to make that call ( and then go to bed..). Unfortunately, we dont have a Nannu/Akram kind of a Captain who can decide how to get the match out...So, if we lose wickets upto Sakib, we will lose the match in 150 runs.. but if we do get past that,, anything is possible now that we have Mashrafee, the allrounder, back in the fold.

No has to play like that. He's not a big hitter and if he tries to be he'll get out for sure. He can hold one end and someone else can start smashing from the other end. But yes, he should take more singles and rotate strikes.

Oh no..not at all, its my pleasure always to have a last laugh. I never said it bothered me. Winning this match, after all, is all too easy, as has been mentioned by yet another cricket genius analyst (or fan..as you would like me to believe) on this forum.

Let me REMIND ANY INDIANS over here, KEEP YOUR POSTS SENSIBLE and NOT AGGRESSIVE TOWARDS US . Otherwise, simply GET LOST.

To win, we need supercharged Tamim, Ash, Aftab

0.4 Zaheer to Javed Omar, no run, angling acorss the batsman, Javed Omar comes on the frontfoot and looks to smash it through covers, he was nowhere near the ball and is beaten outside off

*sighs* so lets see, a fan can't comment on a team's strategy or can't set their sights on a win ...

fyi ... etymology of the word "Fan" ... stems from the word "Fanatic."

Go ahead, have the last laugh.

As stated in cricinfo... JO needs to concentrate on his singles and rotate the strikes rather than trying to hit every single ball out of the ground.

Tamim off the mark

May 12, 2007, 03:01 AM
Well, Bangladesh must start positively. JO should not stick around for long time without scoring and Tamim needs to play sensibly.
