It's really refreshing to see a good number of non-Bangladeshi members are regularly visiting BanglaCricket.

A very warm welcome to all of them.

We have some very seasoned non-Bangladeshi members who are sharing thoughts with us for quite a long period of time, bourny3 James90, IanW, DJ Shahastra, Xavier, bharat, OZGOD, bd_fan_from_india, abherath, padosan are few of them.

We had some members who visited the forum during some specific series like Donny. ilz, Andy-Flower, i_shoiab

I hope members who have joined the forum recently on the eve of India series will continue enjoying the vibe of the forum for a long period of time.

Thank you Miraz and everyone else for the warm welcome. I have enjoyed my time here and have found that most people here are very understanding and friendly. I am a genuine lover of the game and feeling at home amongst fellow cricket lovers here. I am not here for this specific series, but I plan to visit and contribute for a long time.

I have a membership is several other cricket forums which include several non-Indians forums as well. I must say that this is the friendliest place of them all. There are less intimidating posts here, people do understand humor as well as cricket.

Once again, thank you all very much for the welcome.

thanks all guys, for the hospitality.

Probably it would be nice for us non-bangladeshis to put a word or two on why we are here, sticking with this forum. Let me start off on this .. '

i feel that i missed the golden age of indian cricket, 82-86, when india was full of all rounders, sincere players, upcoming youngsters and under dogs. I used to sit and listen to my dad and uncles discuss cricket in the local league games all weekend. I get the same feeling here in this forum, there are very sensible posters, very sensitive posters, very annoying posters, very rationalistic posters. same mix of crowd that i grew up listening in our maidans and get togethers.

I always draw parallel with the current b'desh team with the older indian era of cricket.

Another reason is coz of masrafee. somehow i see the always humble Mashrafee in kapil/Imran mould. he impresses us(couple of indian fans here) all so much. you know how difficult it is to be a sub-continental pace bowler ? he shoulders all the responsibilities of this team in such a lively manner.

cheers to my second fav cricket team and my (only) favorite cricket forum

It always amazes me how nicely you guys could express the feelings………! I kind of agree with you………..it is shocking to see how in a decade time hard working Indian cricketers are replaced by some sponsor-loving money-making cricketers. Well dude, talking of golden age, I believe the era under Ganguly, especially 2001-2004 would kick the *** of any other age :smug: . I mean except in Newzealand, India did awesomely well everywhere, including home,Aus,england,Pakistan, world cup.
And most of the team is still there, though obviously older and less sharp than before.
