Why does the forum look weird today. Why do I have these Squared shape objects all over the place? Even key buttons such as "submit" is covered with this objects.

Not sure what you are seeing. Show us a screenshot.

Restarting your computer might be a quick fix.

I think he got the Bangla version of the forum somehow when he does not have Bangla interface installed.

Yea, that could be the reason as well.

You can chage it from language selector at the bottom of every page ; change it from Bangla to English.

<!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: spacer_close --><!-- / close content container --><!-- END TEMPLATE: spacer_close --> <!-- /content area table --> <table class="page" align="center" border="0" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0" width="735"><tbody><tr><td class="tfoot"> <select name="styleid" onchange="switch_id(this, 'style')"> <optgroup label="শৈলী পছন্দ করুন"> <!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: option --> <option value="1" class="">-- General Style</option> <!-- END TEMPLATE: option --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: option --> <option value="5" class="" selected="selected">---- BanglaCricket</option> <!-- END TEMPLATE: option --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: option --> <option value="10" class="">------ BanglaCricket Green</option> <!-- END TEMPLATE: option --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: option --> <option value="11" class="">------ BanglaCricket Gel</option> <!-- END TEMPLATE: option --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: option --> <option value="7" class="">-- Test</option> <!-- END TEMPLATE: option --> </optgroup> </select> </td> <td class="tfoot"> <select name="langid" onchange="switch_id(this, 'lang')"> <optgroup label="ভাষা পছন্দ করুন"> <!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: option --> <option value="2" class="" selected="selected">-- Bangla</option> <!-- END TEMPLATE: option --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: option --> <option value="1" class="">-- English (US)</option> <!-- END TEMPLATE: option --> </optgroup> </select> </td> <td class="tfoot" align="right" width="100%">

</td></tr></tbody></table>

I have noticed the same symptoms. Looks like some ajax popup; it eventually disappears. Here's s simulated screen shot. I haven't noticed it today to take a real screen shot.

From the size of it, it matches with google ad.

A couple of days earlier, Google Ads was giving me errors. It was taking me to "page not found" error page. Anything related to this?

Looks like some new features are being added to individual posts.(icons next to the post number) Few weeks back I suggested an idea in the support area on how to rate posts. Is that what the maintenance team is working on? If not any idea what those new features are?

We had post and individual ratings before. It was later removed due to popular dislike and various other reasons. It won't be coming back.

Thanks Nasif Bhai. Any idea what they are trying to implement this time around or was it just some technical glitch.

I've been having This weird problem lately.I ignored it up to now, but as there is a thread to report it now,I think I'll post it.Look at the uploaded web page,at the end,in Fazals post, the quick reply and the quote button, all are within the quote.also there are a lot of gray-white gradient at the right, which makes the page really weired.

This is actually,a minor version of this particular problem. In other occations,I've had these gradients all over after some post and could not read the posts after that. The quick post button and the whole footer and everything after the post were gone.

That was due to Fazal's copy paste which carried some invalid XHTML (as well as MS Office custom xml) formatting. I have edited that post eariler today, and its been fixed.

Now I'm experiencing this error. Look at the right.

I've seen this appear at other times too, but it used to go away after several refreshes. I have a feeling someone used a closing table tag which caused this.

Same thing again. Messed up, invalid tags as well as MS word copy/paste xml markups. Its fixed now.

When Copy/Pasting from Word its better to use non-wysiwyg editing by click on http://www.banglacricket.com/alochona/images/editor/switchmode.gif

Another problem now. The borders next to our messages (that vertical border with shades) seems to be falling off in "Pink city..." thread in BC forum. I think there's something particularly in that page that's causing the trouble. The image shows that the borders fell off, and moved to the extreme ends till as much as the browser window allowed.

Mods/admins: Can we have this thread renamed more appropriately and made a sticky so that we can all post problematic issues here from here on? Or is there one that I'm not aware of?

As Zunaid bhai said, switch to a real browser ;)

I have explained it in the recent thread on scrollbar. IE doesn't do the width % properly related to the parent element. This causes it to blow up the table, instead of creating a scrollbar, similar to FireFox.

I have a real browser (FF) on my machine. That was my work machine, where they ONLY have IE, and no FireFox. :)

That's a little weird. I've worked with both browsers, and width was never a "major" problem. Or may be it went unnoticed in my earlier designs (damn).

Would you mind if I take a look into it?

Admins/ Webmaster,

I noticed this issue pop up in one of the threads again, some grey verticle borders appearing on the right hand side and continuing down in Firefox. This is the thread: http://www.banglacricket.com/alochona/showthread.php?t=22311

I'm attaching the screenshot below, highlighted in red

This is due to someone's post, that has a table, but a missing table tag. I had a similar problem before. It's generally due to the posts that are copy/paste from MS Word.

Today I'm seeing another problem, but this may be due to my computer.

No matter how long I'm on BC, it's showing all the posts to be new just like I saw in the morning. Even though I've visited them, it's showing new again. I tried double clicking on the "new post" beside the forums, they turn green from red (indicating that I've marked it read), but still it comes back when I close my browser! It used to happen on my work computer, but now at home as well. I've been on BC for almost 2 hours now. It should've been gone by now.

Any suggestions/comments?

Have you noticed that going to the main page (http://www.banglacricket.com)is much slower than directly going to alochona (http://www.banglacricket.com/alochona/) ?

What we have in Main Page that makes is much much slower to load now a days?

Or is it just me who is having the problem?

it takes time for the main page to load cause it determines how genius you are? if it loads fast that means it figured it out that you NOT.
